can there be an extra face slot for glamor?

So I am proposing an extra slot be added for added face accessories like glasses and mouth pieces. Many games like animal crossing, aura kingdoms, maple story 2 have options to put something in the character's mouth like candy bars, masks ( that doesnt effect hat options) glasses, pasifers, etc, like shown here:

I don't know if I want them to add mouth pieces like pacifiers and candy bars, but glasses/monocles/whatever + a hat? Sure.

"Candy bars" sounds absolutely stupid, and would probably scare away a lot of western players. Currently FFXIV is "west friendly" and it should not be changed.
But separate slots for face masks, glasses, hats, is a good idea, but i doubt they will change it any time soon. It would probably need engine updates.

Being able to use glasses or masks together with a hat or helmet would be nice, but I'm guessing spaghetti code prevents us from getting that.

Yes this would be super to allow wearing hats & glasses but not for pacifiers or candy bars please - that's just weird.

More like the armor system update rather than engine itself. Yoshida once was speculating on wherever they could place second face slot on earrings (which would mean unglamourable earrings as a result) or on belt (that doesn't have any placements at all). That said, it's probably easier to remake glamour system from scratch instead of trying to update it, which is... unlikely to happen, sadly. An option to use masks separately from glasses and all would really be cool, though.

Fortunately we don't have pacifiers or candy bars so far, and I hope they won't get added. I like FFXIV having a more serious tone with items.

I don't think it's so much spaghetti code as they would have to remake every playable model in the game to accommodate the face glamour slot then create items for the face glamour.

They would also need to decide what to do with the existing head slot items like spectacles. Do they remove them from the game so those models can be reserved for face glamours? Do they leave them as head items then disable any face glamours a player has selected when equipped?

It would be an immense amount of effort that would take development time away from other things that could be added to the game.
