Please give us more to buy with achievement certificates.

The veteran rewards system got replaced by the achievement certificate shop and as much as I understand why, not much has been added to replace it.

This is how many certificates I'm sitting on currently:


I did not check with anyone else to see what people have on average, but compared to the shop selection that's a lot of certificates to have with nothing to spend on at all.

I currently have 454 days on my account, and we haven't gotten anything new past the Squall outfit at 330 days. When I started, I remember fawning over players with these veteran outfits as I thought it was really cool to have something to commemorate how long they had been playing.

The ribbon was only 2 certificates, the magitek mount 6 certificates.

Unless I'm mistaken, everything else on there is something that would've previously been obtained by playing the game already. That means I've only had the opportunity to use 8 certificates.


I thought it was a really nice concept when the change was made, but now I am worried it's been abandonned.

What does everyone else think on this topic? Are you a newer player still working towards buying the shop items? Or are you a veteran with even more days who thinks we haven't gotten rewards for even longer? I'd like to know.

Well over 2500 days subbed. Mine hasn't dropped since day 1 of 2.0.


Hell, just let me buy rare dyes or something.

I'd like to see a few rewards for achievement milestones too. For example a decent mount reward at 10k, 15k, 20k and so on. Having a reason to chase achievements would get people into all sorts of old content and things they normally might not try, which is only beneficial for the game.

Of course the harder milestones are something not everyone will get, but mounts for very hard milestones already exist (500k Ishgard DoH/L mount, 2000 S rank mount, 2000 mentor roulette mount for example) and haven't been an issue.

I have 255 and almost at 15k points and yeah, really wish they would add more rewards more frequently.

I just want to use them to buy crysta. Like... even at 1 point for 1 crysta I’d be happy. I’m sitting on so many tokens, especially since I already received all the rewards before the system even existed.

Even if it was just to buy dye or Fantasia, I’d be fine.

I just posted a french topic about this too I agree with all of you, the current system for the achievement give you plenty of token but nothing to buy !

I'm also concerned by the lack of difficulty for many of the achievement. There is no big achievement that asked the player to be a real good player, the majority of the success can be unlocked by just playing the game normally. I think it misses some achievements like kill a boss in less than X seconds, or do a boss without any of your member's team getting hit by a dodgeable attack (no vulnerability for example) or even guild success. We could also have some success according some funny stuff (mini games in our chamber, jumping puzzles like we saw on Kugane, etc...).

I don't remember exactly but I think I have around a hundred achievement certificates and nothing to buy with them. Subbed for over three years straight and no veteran rewards after the first year. I wouldn't mind getting something nice but it's not something that'll cause me to unsub.

Ya I think I have close to 300 and already have everything. Sure would be nice if some of those mogstation items had been but here instead of selling them for outlandish prices.

Honestly, just make an option to turn achievement certificates into cash shop credit. 10 achievement certificates = $1. Want that mount? Turn in 350 certificates, it's yours. Want to buy a bunch of cash shop dyes? Throw your achievement certificates at it. Then there's something to do with them.

I suspect they can't because the cash shop is run separately from the dev team, and as I understand it the one doesn't really get to dictate to the other. But it'd still be nice.
