So, this is my first time posting on here in a while, so sorry if I seem a bit awkward.

It's hard to believe it's been seven years since the launch of A Realm Reborn. I've been playing it since the Phase 3 beta and am still having just as much fun as I did when I first got that invite to test out the new launch. Every year when The Rising event happens, I get sentimental, because it really HAS been a journey from when it launched to where we all are now. This game has been my favorite way to unwind, my favorite story, and just overall a blast to play. And I've met a lot of awesome people while playing.

I've also lost a few people along the way. Whether they just got tired of playing, or in some cases, I found out they passed away. In one case, just before the release of Stormblood, I found out a person I played with for a while died in a car crash. We held a memorial for him at "that spot" in the Central Highlands.

He was always very friendly. I think my favorite memory was when we just sat around the aetheryte in Ul'Dah, just chatting. We wasted a good hour and a half talking about anything and everything before we were like: "Shouldn't we be doing something in the game?"

So, every year, with The Rising, I try to revisit those spaces. Sort of a "Wish you were here."

I figured with the spirit of the event, I should share the story. Set up a memorial, of sorts, to the players we may never know personally, but we got to have some fun playing this game. Feel free to add your own stories.
