    "Fatal DirectX Error 11000002" - An error without solution

    Hello everyone! I'm here to help a friend.

    Recently (more exactly in 08/24/2020) my friend was playing normally, and when he was changing the chocobo color, the game crashed and closed. After that appeared the error "Fatal DirectX Error 11000002". This started to happen everytime that he opened the game, so the game started to close 30 seconds after it opened. We tried every soulutions that we found about that problem and we don't solve this. Above have a list of the things that we already did.
    • Update drivers;
    • Attempt to switch to DirectX 9 (game crashes and closes);
    • Switched to Window mode;
    • Cleaning of game records;
    • Game Reinstallation;
    • Video Card Update.

    It's important to say that he doesn't have a overclocked processor.

    We already tried all that we found about that error. I already asked friends, shout in game if anyone had any ideia how to solve this, sent bug report in the game, but nothing. Only thing that we don't tried yet is fresh/clean install windows. A lot of players presented that problem in others forums, reddit, etc.. and failed to find a solution. About the fresh/clean install windows, he prefered to leave as a last option because just one person says that this worked. But, after few days, the problem return:

    "For anyone who did not see my previous post, I have tried many many methods but the only one that worked for me is fresh/clean install windows. After that, I did not install anything other than steam (i play on a steam version) and google chrome. This is the only 2 applications I have for the past 5 days. However, I woke up today and launched my com, the game has stopped working again, I crash with the same error upon login in (crashes at "Now Loading" screen). Same error as I used to have."

    Well, now, I'm here to try to find a solution for this, helping my friend and anothers players that have the same problem. I hope that moderators or even the community itself, will help us find a solution to this. Thank you.

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Does this crash happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

    Hello Rhaervis! Thank you for answer! Yes, the first thing that he opened was FF, but the game close after a while (30s i guess). He tried open other games that need a high performace, but works normally. I will ask and tell him to send a system report.
