Bot's on Market Board...? Really?

I never said anything about gathering bots. Gathering bots are different than market board bots though.

Likewise, housing is really just an automated script because the random timer is such a terrible game mechanic. The players who do that for housing probably aren't botting anything else.

So no, I'm not being "willfully ignorant," you're just too busy being unnecessarily aggressive to actually make sure you understand what I said.

Market bots are also extremely active , multiple threads with multiple pages and people who have observed the interval changed. Where do you think the market bots are supplied from? They aren't spending their gil. It all flows into the RMT circuit one way or another.

What does it matter how many threads there are? As I've said, and as I say almost every time it comes up in this forum, I simply don't see good evidence that it's as prevalent as certain doomsayers claim. What I repeatedly see in such threads are that players frustrated with a lack of success simply accuse other players of botting. Yet if you can make the argument that "Well, they're on x hours a day, so they must be botting," or "They undercut x number of times per hour, so they must be botting," how could you know that except by spending that much time online or checking the market board that often yourself and thus demonstrating it's within the realm of player behavior after all?

And to be clear, I am not saying it is impossible that there are market board bots out there. I am saying I do not trust the judgment of randos on the forums whatsoever when they promise me we're in the middle of the abotcalypse, especially when they provide no proof in favor of just asserting that it's common knowledge.

Go to your market board and look at Neo-Ishgardian or Aesthete's gear, and refresh the market board every 5 minutes for 24 hours and look at the prices. You'll see your evidence.

In doing so I would necessarily be proving that is a thing actual people sitting at their keyboards do and thus it would not prove that it is a bot.
