    Have you done Savage level content before? I don't think you really understand what you're asking for, and one trip through synced down Coil I think will teach you it, harshly. I can assure you even if you get a group together, you will still be jumping through way more than 7 hoops to actually clear it, and it will not be fun if you aren't already familiar with how savage level content tests a player and a group. You will not just go in there and clear it like a normal 8-man raid or even an extreme trial. You will not even clear it within the allotted time unless you have a lot of veterans basically carrying you and defeating the purpose you set out for yourself. In fact, for the harder ones, you might never clear them until you accept that it is far too difficult content to just "plug and play" and "enjoy as it once was". The content was never enjoyable to people who didn't enjoy savage level raiding, and if you aren't prepared for that, then you're gonna have a bad time.

    Reading this thread got me thinking they could actually retune Coil to be a normal difficulty raid, while preserving the originals as (Savage) modes. For Second Coil which already has a savage mode, that mode would simply stay as is and the normal version would be retuned to Normal difficulty. They could then throw the three normal coils into raid roulette, and maybe give achievements for clearing the old versions of First and Third Coil like they did with Savage Second Coil. It's just a matter of whether or not SE would feel it is worth the time retuning these. I know this process is basically what they already do now for current Savage and Extremes during the design process - they make the Savage and Extreme version first, then scale it down to Normal difficulty afterwards.

    Second Coil Savage is actually pretty misleadingly labelled. The difficulty of those encounters at the time were somewhere between current Savage and Ultimate. Probably much easier now with all the changes, but they were definitely steps higher than any of the current Savage content we have right now. It’s unlikely that they’ll make easier modes for the Coils since it’s a waste of time and resources for outdated content, but there’s a chance that they might do something with Unreal in the future if they ever decide to bring old Raids into it on top of the Extreme Primals.

    T9 Unreal. I'm already crying in PTSD of memories of meteors back when it was current. Why couldn't anybody do them, WHY COULD NOBODY PASS THEM!? T_T

    They are absolutely atrocious IMO. I would start avoiding normal roulette so I never have to play them again. I honestly think it was the latter half of Alexander when they figured out how to make fun raids. Almost all of BCoB, a lot of the early Alexander, is awful, though with Alex a few times it's just because of ilevel creep.

    Maybe retool BCoB. Completely change ones like the stupid platforming thing. Maybe move the story exposition to single player duties. But like, create savage for the first tier, and make it so the savage stuff plays exactly as it does now, so that experience is still there for people who want it.

    Not looking for a simple clear, me and my friend are looking to actually play the content, with other people, and do Mechanics.

    Other friends, & FC members are on break and unavailable.
    Party Finder gets no bites, and Quing in we waited over an hour and couldn't get enough people.

    Even doing them sync'd you will skip/break mechanics of the fights due to how jobs have evolved over time, level 50 jobs hit way harder than they did back in ARR even when gear sync'd, especially in the tank department, what you're asking for is essentially to do a couple of savage level mechanics that won't be skipped then clear the fight.

    While this is true it doesn't mean that SE can't adjust the content to be easier to do. They already have a history of nerfing old content so this wouldn't even be a new thing. Well whether SE think it is worth their time to do this or not is another thing altogether.
    They technically already did when they added in Echo.

    That and the addition of the undersized party option is about all the "nerf" I would expect. The fact that we're in 5.3 now and we haven't seen an additional "story mode" version of Coil added yet kind of speaks for itself.

    Again, no, it wouldn't. Like I said, many people immediately bail when any remotely difficult EX trial shows up in the mentor roulette, and this would be no different.

    Please don't advocate polluting the raid roulette for everyone else just because you want to run these things synced. They are still essentially savage level raids (in spite of the Echo addition and job adjustments that have occurred since then); no other savage raids are in the roulette, for good reason. These don't belong there.

    If you want to do this you simply need to keep trying with the PF. Or you could just run it unsynced. There's still quite a few things in Coil that will still prove to be a challenge for solo/duo 80s due to the (frankly absurd) prevalence of one-shot mechanics in there.

    Alternatively, you can request for a (separate) Savage Raid roulette to be added, or something. I've seen people ask for that in the past.

    It's not "irrelevant" content, well maybe in terms of gear but story wise it's extremely important. You even get to see a very cool CG movie for doing it!

    They should do something to make it more accessible to all players. Such a waste.

    It kinda already is, storywise. A good portion of the fights can be solo'd or duo'd unsynced. Anyone who wants to see the story from it can easily throw up a PF advertising an unsynced run of new player bonus, and chances are pretty high they'll get a couple people to steamroll the fights with to see the cutscenes. It's what I did with a friend when I first returned to the game, we 3-manned all coil fights at 70, it'll be even easier nowadays at 80.
