Mysterious Blue Bird in Pendants Inn Room

Can anyone please tell me why this blue bird is here just chilling in my room in the Pendants and where it came from?

It's not a figurine; it's breathing.

I cannot for the life of me figure this out... I've searched the internet in an attempt to recall a quest or anything this is from... I got nothing.

It appears throughout the 5.0 story, mostly in those mini-game scenes where you have to aim a telescope or gun scope or similar. Alisaie even sees it in the Tempest and comments on it a few times when you're negotiating with the sahagin. It's basically an easter egg. You can even obtain a minion of it.

My personal head-cannon is that it is Emet-selch either in familiar form or his familiar. The description of the minion, where it is obtained, and the fact that it follows you around during the whole 5.0 story kind of lends a bit of support to this.

It's the Shoebill, and it's been stalking you since you arrived in Norvrandt. (No, really.)

It can be spotted somewhere in each of the "shooting gallery" minigames, including under the ocean, and drops as a minion from Amaurot.

He's actually following you for most of the MSQ. People have found him at various points during Shadowbringers, including that one portion of the story where you need to go find the Exarch before making the large Talos. It's been interesting going through the story again and trying to find all his little cameos, because often he's just off the beaten path for where you need to go for any given task.

I found him before the scene with the Exarch, and the one with Ryne in 5.2, but I didn't know he appears in other places.

Seriously?! Wow, I have been totally oblivious to it; I did not know this was a thing lol. And I redid the Shadowbringers MSQ in new game+... I guess I wasn't paying attention both times lol.

1st time I found it was with Ryne in Tempest during launch, it actually bugged me and I got stuck in dialog, couldnt move or anything, had to force quit, lol.
