    rundown of brief whys:

s - characters I either feel were very compelling in their own way, or have a more interesting overall state of development and conclusion that affected the main character (WoL) in a notable enough manner to challenge the WoL's thoughts/beliefs/understanding. Chai's there 'cuz she's a large character they gave a real personality, and didn't make her into a fat joke.

a - characters I feel were/are impactful, but either got too little time to shine/grow further/had their highs but also had their lows in terms of their development over the course of the story.

b - characters who had, largely either strong entries that immediately gave an impression that left an impression, or were characters who had a lot of interesting potential but were done away with too fast (ie: Moenbryda + Fordola), or who are otherwise just "good" for the role they play in the story (Raubahn, Y'shtola, etc...)

c - kinda feel like cardboard with maybe 1 interesting/compelling trait about them

d - not compelling, nor interesting, or had very little in way of meaningful development that made the character feel like they grew into their own properly/had clunky handling in the narrative(or were just forgettable).

idk/who - literally no idea who this doman man is

did it cuz im bored and may as well

The New Low-Down, updated from one I posted elsewhere a few months ago.

...I want to note the potentially controversial addition of Zenos to the green tier is not so much that he solves problems in a conventional way, but he DOES "solve problems" in the sense that most people who encounter him suddenly (and often violently) find themselves bereft of whatever problems they were having at the time and would have had in the future.
