    Potential plot hooks for the 6.x MSQ? (EW ending spoilers)

    Now that the world is saved, it's a given there's going to be some new developments to keep us busy until the next crisis rears its ugly head, but I've been wondering what those might be.

    Thavnair has a pretty conspicuous thread hanging with this special business Estinien was called over for, though there's also another thing I didn't really consider initially, which was that the starshower the Final Days called forth might've awakened the Echo in some of the populace, which could be an obstacle to the nation's return to normalcy. The alchemists of the Great Work are also itching to further their akasa research now that what was once merely theory has been put to proof.

    Garlemald has the matter of the AWOL imperial legions and their unknown intentions, and the Tower of Babil is still emitting an ominous haze even after Anima was destroyed, which makes me feel like there may be something going on in there still.

    Sharlayan, Mare Lamentorum, and Ultima Thule seem like they'd be lumped together into some interconnected plot given stated interest in finding practical uses for the moon as well as interstellar travel.

    Labyrinthos is also one of the only EW zones with something that really screams "This could be a dungeon" as the pasturonics facility in the NE corner of the zone has no involvement in any quests MSQ or otherwise and presently just sits there as a curiously empty part of the zone with no NPCs present in its vicinity either.

    On a more broad scale, there are still blasphemies out and about, and while the Scions intended to let the alliance deal with them, I'm half-expecting there to be some that will require a more focused effort yet again.


    Overall, the lack of a story teaser at the end of 6.0 has just left me musing all the more over what's come in the near future.

    The consistent references to Corvos made me especially since it’s so close to Thavnair.

    Corvos seems like a shoe-in as the relic content for 6.x; especially after they mentioned it wasn't able to get nearly as much aid as Thavnair while it was being ravaged by the Final Days; a problem that was likely exasperated by it being an imperial province and consequently much less unified.

    I'm kind of expecting we'll have to lead a joint effort between the Eorzean Alliance, native Corvosians, and what Garleans are willing to cooperate to secure parts of the region that are still infested with blasphemies.

    I was thinking about this in the tub earlier today.

    I was thinking that because summoning was revealed to be purposefully maligned by the Ascians, and now it's not... we may get people learning the proper way to summon, summoning the Twelve.

    Then a miniature version of Venat vs. Ancients will ensue in the present day with WoL vs. Twelve worshippers + The Twelve, and that'll let us tie the 24 man raids to a lot of spots in Eorzea but also around the world.

    Course, that's just the 24 man line, but maybe this will be the second 24 man to be integrated into the MSQ, since the last 24 man was so far removed.

    As far as ideas for the MSQ itself that don't involve Ye Olde Twelve... Hmm...

    I was thinking perhaps we might investigate some Allagan ruins again. Perhaps get shot with a security measure that causes us to go comatose for a few years in a long, patch ending cutscene sequence. It'd be a great time to enact one, because we have no central HQ for the meet up Scion, so they could just make us wind up somewhere weird, like idk, at the door of the Ruby Bazaar or whatever in Kugane, asking what's going on, what year is it? Etc. Then maybe issues have come up during our absence, while the world fended for itself for just a little while.
