    Free Trial Players Buying housing?

This of course is not possible if the gil cap on free trial is still 300,000 or 350,000, or whatever it was. If there is a new higher cap, of upwards to 5 million then they of course can buy housing based on the listed restrictions.

So according to the Free Trial Restrictions page, and the new post from Square-Enix/Yoshida, about 5.4 and housing....

Free Trial accounts should now have access to purchasing housing?

If this is the case.... I wish I could say I'm surprised, but at this point, I'm not. I hope the rest of you are fine with this choice.

Statement made about "Free trial players so we're adding housing!"

Now that Patch 5.3 is finally here, and the game’s free trial has been expanded, there has been a marked increase in the number of people playing..

To all of our players, especially those who have newly begun their adventures in FFXIV, I apologize for the present lack of housing...

If they can't trade, use a retainer, sell on the mb, use mail, make purchases on the shop, it might be a bit harder to buy a house. They might be able to get an apartment, 500k. They can't join an FC so they can't buy a room there for 300k. They might gain the money from the MSQ, but with only vendoring items and not being able to sell stuff, wouldn't that take them a lot longer to even get the gil for it? I'm not even sure if they can be added as a tenant to play with decorating in a friends place?

I think that them adding wards was to help with the already stressed out plot camping, and with additional players coming to the game fully (purchased and subbed), there will be even more demand for housing than there is now. I have seen sprouts gaining a house though, but they weren't a trial.

The extra housing ward addition is referring to more trial players = more players buying the game = more sub players = higher demand for housing.

Free trial players should not have housing access.

Gil cap is 300k so no housing for trial players.
