Because this game's themes of friendship, determination, and hope is a universal theme for all. Horror game tropes like jumpscares don't really belong in the game and seem very weird considering the wider themes of this game.

Thank you. I think it's fine if those storylines stayed in the game but some warning for them would be nice. Had I known Tam Tara HM was basically a horror movie trope I would have probably stayed away from it.

I'm too lazy to find it atm, but these kind of experiences all fall under the umbrella of "Gaming experience may change during online play." that is given as a clear caveat to your subscription.

As for Tam Tara specifically, if you've followed along the storyline from the first time you go in there at level 15, and read all the context before going into the HM, you should be well aware that nothing good is going to happen in there. I also believe after defeating the last boss, it was one of the first and few scenes where your character does not celebrate, but lowers their head in grief.

Still.... I will admit that even after I read everything, and was even given a hint that it was dark storyline; I was still not prepared for the events of this particular questline, or seeing her damn ghost in city states afterwards. Just creepy, beyond all that is freakin creepy. O_O

Coming from someone that claims to be a lore-heavy as your signature implies this makes 0 sense. The impact of key events are what can make or break a plotline. I've spoiled endings and stuff for myself but spoiling an ending is not the same as ruining the key moments that bring the elements to their fullest.

I'm mostly with you on not wanting to be spoiled, but sometimes when I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel for a game or manga or whatever, I wanna know if it's worth my time or going to scratch some particular itch. I like monster flicks, so when a promising movie comes out, I check if it legit has a monster or it's just an @sshat in a costume (the movie SIGNS I self-spoiled 'cause if I wasn't interested in another THE VILLAGE BS).

Or, as an example from Friends, some people just want to know if Ross and Rachel get married or not before investing time in Ross and Rachel's roller coaster of a relationship.

There are horrifying things in the game to be sure, but the writers are out to tell a story; if it makes you uncomfortable or whatever sorry, but it is what it is.

Have you gotten to Shadowbringers yet? there is a very horrifying scenes in there compared. I recommend talking to players who have played the story and who are familiar of your triggers. And ask what quests and scenes you should prepare for.

was about to take it as an actual thread, but then i noticed he also made one about novice network which is basicaly the equivalent of passing some meat to really hungry dogs and watching them fight amongst them. He just needs to make one more about dungeon pulls and the holy trinity of OF peak will be achieved. I wonder is this titanmen ? did he get self aware when they mentioned his hyurs
