The game has an ESRB and PEGI ratings. That should be enough. It would detrimental and spoil the user experience for the other 98% of people if there was a warning before every scene that said the following scenes could be disturbing. Ffxiv has some mature themes like death, torture, and discrimination. This might not be the right game for you.

These are just some examples that I think benefit from having a trigger warning added to them. I'm sure there are more but let's start small and add trigger warnings to the most upsetting scenes first.
I'm sorry these scenes upset you. I understand that with your anxiety these things can be triggers, unfortunately this game has to appeal to everyone and they make sure the ratings are clear on what is depicted.

Guys, there's no harm is asking for greater accessibility options and filters.
Saying "the game has a rating" while true, isn't verry helpful. What is TC supposed to do? Just not play the game?

It could be a opt in option, so that those who don't want it never have to see it.

Best comment here. Make warnings for those scenes, but give the option to toggle it on/off. Those who need warnings use them, those who don't want any spoilers just turn them off.

I'm taking Lore way too seriously. And I'm not sorry about that.

I'm not averse to the idea, but that still doesn't change how much it would still ruin the story by taking the shock value away.

No every game is for every one. There's people that don't play this game because it doesn't have what they want just as there is people that don't play this game because it's not graphic enough given the themes it involves.

May be a little drifting from the topic, but there are people that check a movie's/book's ending first before enjoying it. They do want a certain outcome, but still enjoy the story after being spoiled. Would you tell those people to just not read the book or watch the movie that seems interesting to them? Same principle.

Some people do want to be spoiled. Just make it an option you have to actively turn on and nothing changes for most of us.

Coming from someone that claims to be a lore-heavy as your signature implies this makes 0 sense. The impact of key events are what can make or break a plotline. I've spoiled endings and stuff for myself but spoiling an ending is not the same as ruining the key moments that bring the elements to their fullest. The rating systems exist for a reason. XIV may be in the limbo between ERSB's T and M rating but a lot of graphic content is fairly obvious when you examine context and other aspects.. Given that you're in EU they may have a different guideline than the NA.

We've already lost content that used to be consistent for new things. I'm not ready to sacrifice a piece of content for a handful of people that have issues when there's health and safety warnings whenever you boot up any kind of game.

Not going to happen, as i said. SE won't implement stuff like that for like 0,001% of the playerbase. And as i said i am not even against such stuff, i just can tell it won't happen and thus the TC will suffer again and again. Especially tho cause haurchefant will be still gone, you will be still confronted with specific things.

So since SE will never ever implement such stuff it would be better for people who have health issues cause of such stuff to just stop playing the game. If you have issues with your liver you also don't start drinking alcohol cause it's fun.

Have you tried the Color Filtering option for color blind people? I have never messed with it but it might make things distorted enough to no longer be upsetting.

    (emphasis mine)
    Opt in?
Damn, then everyone can be happy.
    That's a solid solution.
