Harassment is not what I'm aiming for here. People are already harassing these folks and while they're certainly... something impolite for knowingly circumventing the system like this, I do not encourage or condone the death threats and doxxing that I've heard has gone on. What I want to do is bring attention to it not just being "oh that pair of players on that one NA server bought half a ward between them" that's most often referenced, and people complaining about the grandfathering system which gets mixed in with this a lot. This was done recently and after the current system of "one personal house per server per account and one fc house per character" was implemented.

There are no loopholes. A single service account can own 8 FC houses and 1 personal. To own a ward, multiple subscriptions have to be paid for. The person who owns this ward has reported themselves to the GM and the GM has replied that it's allowed:

And that seems like several levels of Bull being enabled, particularly when it sounds like it should at least be counted under some section of ToS of being fair to other players. Nevertheless if I get told to remove this by a GM or it gets deleted, then I'll take it as "not allowed". Other than that - again, this is clearly circumvention and abuse of the system that was put in place to STOP this!!!

Instances have a limit to the number of players be that inside the house or out of it..

If enough people are tired of these kingpin mafia style house hoarders you could flood the instance once the demolition time is back up and keep it full.. youd need to stay for over a month without logging out but it would force them to lose their house..

With how many people afk in Limsa and never leave i don't think it would be impossible lol

it probably wouldn't but gridlocking an instance like that is against ToS (like hoarding houses like this should be!!!).

its not one FC is several character having tge same FC tag and probanly several service account, so it's not a violation against the rule, morale wise not the best, bit GM can't and won't do anything since they play fair by having several account and PAY several account. no housing? git gud and clicking ./jk

That's just it, though, it's several accounts and every account is effectively a player. Several players owning a ward is the system working as intended. I get that buying 8+ accounts and buying a ward is highly visible, but it's not against the rules.

SE could consider limiting each real life person to one account, but then they'd lose money to enforce that. The simple fact is, SE is happy to take the money for a second account, and SE is obliged to hold that second account as a separate player.

Adding to this, the way Square Enix have it setup, you can have up to *8* service accounts (subscriptions) under the same main account. So it's not even as if someone with multiple accounts is doing something wrong as SE have set it up to actually make this easier for them (same login/authenticator for up to 8 subscriptions).
