    World name: Faerie
    Character name: Magnus Brighton
    Retainer name: N/A
    NPC name: Wandering Minstrel
    Monster name: N/A
    Class/Level: Disciple of War/Magic, Level 1+
    Party or solo: Solo
    In-game time: 4:40 pm
    Area and coordinates: Yanxia - Namai (x30.6, y20.1, z0.7)
    Housing: N/A
    Steps:
    1. Obtain all Kamuy
    2. Teleport to Kugane
    3. Speak to News Hawker

There is a typo in this dialogue. I believe it should say "you put" and not "put you".

I may be wrong, but "put you" looks correct to me. "Put you off" being slang for "being bothered by." I think this one is not a typo. But still rocks that you (and others) take the time to report this kind of stuff. Makes the game amazing!

"Put you off" is indeed slang, but neither makes sense in this context nor is grammatically correct.
"Put off" is also slang for "an effect caused by someone/something", as in "he put off an intimidating aura" or "it put off a pleasant smell". In this sense I believe the Minstrel is saying he will be observing every note you "put off" from the fife.

Maybe you're just getting a bit confused due to the long sentence. Remove the clause to make sense of it.

"Try not to let it* put you off."

*it = the fact that a professional musician etc etc.

    Grammatically correct.

Ah, yeah, the long sentence was what was throwing me off. This isn't a bug after all.
Thanks for clarifying this for me!
