So I’ve just recently unlocked RDM and am having a blast with it, but I don’t know what the stat priority is currently for em.

I’ve seen DH>Crit>Det, Crit>DH>Det or even Det>DH>Crit, but I’m unsure of which is best.

Also, for a RDM newb, is there anything I should know about?

Hellow o/ So I'm not a RDM main by any sort of margin, but generally, if you want to know how to meld stuff or distribute stats in general, there is a rule that DH is better than Crit when you don't have much stats to use/meld. DH scales way better when you don't have a lot of it. Generally in the beginning of an expac, peoples usually prioritize melding DH rather than crit because you will not have enough stat points to make crit "good". This is also true when you just reached max level or still in the process of leveling. Once you begin getting at least iLvl 460 gear tho I recommend swapping your main focus for crit.

If you dig a bit on the internet, you should find something called The Balance discord server, I recommend checking it out, as it contains really good informations about stat priority on all jobs. (From what I can see there it's Crit > DH > Det in terms of priority)

If I put all piety, I think that's the stat that increases healing potency but I'm not sure, but if I put whatever materia increases healing potency into rdm gear will it make my verascures heal for even more or it won't make much of a difference, I'm talking as much healer materia as I can fit in there, all the grade 8s and if have to grade 7s.

I'm not impressed by my dps as a RDM when I use my full SS gear (BLM stuff)

It also makes cd alignement awkward which is actually the biggest issue.

Your ogcd are a decent portion of your dps... Unless they make flèche contre-sixte , corps-à-corps and displacement scale of SS (reduced cd for instance ) and also adapt manafication cd , RDM will never work well with SS
