This. As soon as I got to 60 and got all the spells, it just started taking up space in my inventory. Only now w/ the Youkai Event that I'm getting used out of it again¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Majority? Do you have some stats you'd like to reference here to make that assertion? Something beyond anecdotal accounts?
So? Players do lots of things the developers don't intend. Most of the time a million people are better at figuring a game out than the 30 or so people in charge of developing it. It's just a matter of sheer numbers and it's nothing unusual in game development. The question becomes: is it cheating? Most of the time it isn't. The fact that SE is aware of this aspect of their leveling system and have done nothing about it suggests that it either isn't something they care about or isn't something they want to devote the time and money to correcting because the impact on the actual game is minimal.
The two dozen or so people you're talking about are not a significant sample.
I leveled BLU while farming spells. I seem to remember the 1 - 50 stretch taking about a week of casual play and the 50 - 60 stretch taking probably a couple days. I'm sure if I'd really sat down and done it I could've done the whole thing in a few hours of just spell farming. So there you go, you now know at least one person that leveled without your "exploit," and where there's one there's probably more than one. That's the problem with making gross generalizations. Even a single contrary example totally counters your statement.
Why do we need a BLU level skip potion? It seriously takes no time at all if you're doing fates. Learning every spell is the potential time sink I recall running into as some spells appear to have a low learn chance rate.
Well, its the same reason people buy other job potions: to skip any time at all leveling it, no matter how trivial that time is.
I don't have a horse in this but have to raise an eyebrow at the collective "it doesn't take a lot of time/it's not hard" responses (which I agree with, btw). It's just that a skip is a skip, has nothing to do with the ease of what you can do.
Thing is though, seems like OP doesn't want to pot for time related reasons, judging from their adamant position on the "illegitimate" leveling methods for blu and given that this actually the first time on the forums I've seen a demand for blu pot job, methinks this is not a popular request that SE will consider.
But if it should happen...shrug and congrats?

TBH the percentage of people that used that exploit was fairly small anyway because even then it wasn't really cutting out that much. As you mentioned it does seem like the OP's reasoning is more of they shouldn't have to level the job themselves because some other people used an exploit back when the job was new.Well, its the same reason people buy other job potions: yo skip any time at all leveling it, no matter how trivial that time is.

It's also possible this was all a trolling attempt as well looking at it in hindsight.
It is best to leave the leech trick as is because 'fixing' it would create an opening for abuse between players.
I wanna level Blu (ignore that I have it capped) so I tag a mob then a random Rdm kills it because it was their quest objective with the leech trick I still get exp, no harm no foul we both win, fixing the leech trick would make me lose that exp(even if you had exp scale off percentage dmg dealt you lose exp that you would normally get) and if said Rdm then wanted to troll me by killing everything I try to kill they can and they can hide behind ToS because no one owns overworld mobs and killing is fair game, you just can't reset them thus deleting contribution.
Some things are better left as they are the leech trick is one of those things.
I levelled Blu no Leech trick, took 4 hours of grinding, helped my friends via leech trick less than an hour each time people are happy to help just gotta ask.
The actual grind on BLU is learning skills.
Even solo you can easily do 1-60 in a day from killing same level enemies enmass.
Takes like 30min to get max level. No boosters needed
So basically they're giving it the T2 treatment. People exploited Binding Coil T2 when it was relevant (the Enrage Strat), yet SE did nothing to the players who decided to do that strat and not the intended way the fight was meant to be done (dealing with Allagan Rot).
They said it about job switching glitch afaik, not about leveling with friends without party, and as far as I can tell, that glitch apparently is already fixed.
