It does seem a touch silly that FATE bosses are even vulnerable to BLU's instakills/gravity effects in the first place because it makes it difficult or impossible for others who aren't partied with them to get gold when they're present, which is an issue regardless of whether or not this event is going on.

...As an aside, does anyone happen to know the locations for the new medals? Was probably going to start with GNB but the compendium is conveniently hiding things.

I don't get it.
I'm just stating some possible unfair advantage and the only comment I get - but twice already - about it is: "play when they're gone/done"?! In a MMO?

In your first posts you are clearly complaining about two things :

- drop rates which makes you do too much fates for your liking ;
- way too much other people doing them, leaving you barely any time to attack.

That's why i was telling you to :

- do the event on a longer period so you that you don't feel overwhelmed by the number of fates;
- and to start it later when there will be way less people to compete with (including BLUs).

I don't see what's hard to understand.

As for the "but i want to do it now !" other answers, then don't complain of having to deal with the problems who comes along with that XD After all you are supposed to know how the game you are playing is working. It's like trying to go on hunt trains right after the 500 upgrades hunt items have been released, and being all surprised that A ranks are not displaying on the screen and that there is so much people that you can not even enter the next map anymore. Or being like "but i don't even see the npc with so much people flocking around it !" 5 minutes after the start of an event (i now always do them a few days later just because of that).

Currently a lot of complains in my FC chat, but people still being like "uh no, i want to do it now !" when being told that by doing that a few days later, it will be way more enjoyable with all the intial rush problems gone. Go figure XD

GNB and DNC weapon medals drop in all Stormblood aress (Azim Steppe seems to be the most popular fate grind zone)
RDM and SAM weapon medals drop in all Heavensward areas (Forelands and Sea of Clouds seem to be the popular fate grind zones)
