I forgot another pro: the less people in the area, the easier FATEs are. They scale by number of players in an instance.I see valid cons with:
- "can't see NPC on day one with all players on him/her!"
- "new glam expensive at day one!"
... but facing BLU advantage?
And again: "play when they're gone/done"?!
edit:
Should I wait to play and come back in a week, I'll meet BLUs again and they'll tell me: "you had the time to do it! Now let me do it my way!"
Those BLUs will have waited to do it their way. Should I wait more again?
Parties are indeed good for FATEs.I already knew that BLU was going to cause issues after I decided to help some newbies get the "The Eyes Have It" fate achievement in Central Highlands and me and someone else kill the guy in like 5 seconds. But it'll be like everything else and die down a bit. Also don't be afraid to get into parties! Easier to get gold that way.
Looks like another cons to me: a BLU comes in, scale makes you lose all chance.

Do you mean everybody should just handicap themselves, just because you choose to do so?
You're the one still complaining you want to have your cake and eat it too.
You want to be done now (which btw there are already people who finished it) but you don't want any competition. You want the freedom to use any class you want to use to do the event, but you want to deny others their freedom to use the class they choose.
So we have 17/18 handicaped battle classes?
Can't I play too?
What's your point? I don't care the competition, it's an MMO! For what I read, YOU don't want the competition.
I don't deny players the freedom to use the class they choose. I state the disadvantage one specific limited job gives.

Uh, you're the one still complaining that you're getting FATES sniped from you and then you shifted goalposts that the mean BLU people are taking away FATEs from you.So we have 17/18 handicaped battle classes?

Everyone is out there doing the event and you want to do it now too? Cool, you still have to deal with everyone else being in the same area as you. Devs aren't going to give you your own special solo instance.
You want to handicap yourself and use whichever job you want? Cool, you still have to deal with people using a job which has an advantage in this content and that you refuse to use that advantage yourself.
Devs aren't going to do anything regarding "overcrowding" on the launch of an event that covers most of ARR and all HW and SB areas. And even if they do something regarding BLU, by the time they do everyone will have already got most of it done (like the overabundance of XP at BLU launch and the chocobo mini-exploit).
Like I said, you can wait for it to calm down or do it now but adapt to circumstances. But sadly you seem to want everyone else to adjust to your whim instead.
If I remember correctly, ARR and HW FATEs scale based on the number who did the same FATE prior. And SB and ShB FATEs scale the same way but also nearby FATEs are scaled with them.
A simple "No u" would suffice.
Well, the intention still stands. FATEs then will be easier and will get even easier with time.
