New story quests XP is insane... like... insane...

So... I created a new character on a JP server in need (Elemental DC) to test the new AR quests out of curiosity...

I do not have a FC (no buff) but I do have the Aetheryte earrings and the XP is absolute madness... game breaking even.

I am currently a LV 52 White Mage, with a 130 weapon while in the story quest, I just beat Titan normal and the last dungeon I did was Brayflox normal... I reached level 50 soon after getting out of Haukke Manor. I took a while to unlock WHM because I was level 30 fast but not far enough story-wise to unlock it.

I did no side-quest outside of the job quests. I started a bit of guildhests and some hunting logs at first but quickly stopped once I saw how out-leveled I was becoming... only did story and job quest since then.

While I do get that these XP boosts are supposed to help new players, they actually really don't make the experience enjoyable. I am now unlocking some lv 50 side-dungeons and quests while in the main story I am still doing some lv 30 content (and you know it is gonna take a while story-wise to get to the last dungeon of ARR...).

I hope they tweak this a bit or cancel the "World in need" boost and recheck the EXP given by quests because your character is all over the place, breaking all sense of progression and makes you dread the main storyline even more since every dungeon you get in is now level synced and all the armor drop are useless since you can already equip lv50 gear...ouch!

Focusing on the MSQ (and class/job quests when appropriate) would always be my suggestion. Don't bother with side content unless you want to take a break from the story. Level is largely meaningless beyond gating content, so as long as you have enough to continue the MSQ, it does not matter how far ahead you get in level, but it would slow down the MSQ if you keep doing other things.

No. This alt is just to test the new questlines. No plan to go multi-job on this one.
+ leveling another job would mean stopping the main quest for now to start lv1. That's precisely what I don't want to do

You cant, they are also gated behind main story. You need to reach Ishgard.

No, the only requirements for unlocking either is reaching level 50. They've even dropped clearing Praetorium as a requirement and put them in ARR areas so they weren't locked behind reaching expansion content.

No, that's DRK/MCH/AST.

The Lv50 jobs are both in Ul'dah and can be picked up as soon as you reach that level. Likewise at Lv60 for GNB (in Gridania) and DNC (in Limsa).

Just seems like a nothingburger list of complaints. It's a game where you're intended to level everything.
