    I see people are getting the wrong ideas and maybe it was my sleepy brain to blame.

    The difficulty level of Shiva and clearing it is not as much of a problem for me, I'm ok with it being "harder" content and having a "good" partly to clear.

    But I dont really see any reason to do it even once per week, since it really doesnt reward you with anything 90% of the time.

    That's a problem of players, not the trial, maybe you/others don't even use food/pots like usually do on Savage/Extreme (not that pots are useful here), but you know, everyone play in a differente style and must bring patience.
    If synced ARR content is being this unnaturally hard to clear while the actual lvl 80 extreme content is being so laughably easy in comparison, while being basically the same (boss with set attack patterns that have random rotation), then there may be something wrong. Maybe it was a "hardcore" content of ARR but I somehow refuse to believe that it was so unforgiving back then.

    And once again, there is more reason for me to wipe 10 times and clear once on SoS EX, than doin the same on Shiva Unreal sadly.

    It obviously wasn't so difficult back then because it didn't sync you to minimum ilvl, I didn't do Shiva myself back then since I barely played in ARR but from what I've heard the dps check was barely a problem when it came out because people basically already overgeared it. That's the thing with syncing it to such a low ilvl, people's melds are nonexistent and crit values are atrocious at 435. You do not have the added HP and DPS buffer of better gear so mistakes can easily lead to deaths which lead to even lower dps from healers having to get people back up and those people having weakness. Combine this with a non-existent barrier of entry since someone who just hit 80 and has no idea how to play their job can still join and you have a recipe for disaster.

    This is the key point, with your static. I would expect an organized group to have very little issue with an extreme trial, I can't say the same about pugs. This is normally where gear makes up for the lack of coordination or players that are just playing below average, with the ilvl sync you do not have that kind of leeway.


    This is why I really don't get the justification for the terrible ilvl sync. The current extreme fight is more "new player friendly" than the unreal fight is, simply because there is more room for a new player to make mistakes and still beat the fight.
