Better Hairstyle choices/ Longer hairs/ No Exclusive hairs

There is a lack of well designed long hairstyles & NPC's have hairstyles we've yet to acquire such as Hilda, Yugiri, Hien, Gaia, Ryne, -- the list goes on
Please, show your support in having these Hairstyles become accessible! This goes for Viera/Hrothgar as well

I'd also like to add, Other potential hair's people want also would like added: Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough, Garnet Til Alexandrous, Minfilia's long hair, Lyse, Estinien & Ysayle's hairstyles, as well as Zenos'.

Lots of people have made threads like these, and unfortunately, it just seems like something the devs aren’t very interested in doing. I want this in 100%, but I have no clue what the devs are currently prioritizing right now.

They probably haven’t added these because they want it to be special for these characters, maybe for lore reasons. Like, Zenos is literally a main antagonist. It would be stupid if they allowed players to use his hairstyle. Sometimes, the story should come first. Players don’t have to have everything.

More options from other FF games would be a good idea though. I’ve wanted Yuna’s hairstyle for a while now. Lumina’s would be so cool too.

There is a hairstyle in PvP called Fashionably Feathered hairstyle that is for almost all intents and purposes Yuna's hair minus the braid (the long one for her X-2 version and the short one for her FFX version)

i'd really like it if they removed race restrictions on hair. some might look weird and take some work (thinking of mainly the au ra hair which might look odd on miqote because it would likely conceal their ears)

If that were true, the Cloud Strife hairstyle, as well as the Final Fantasy Type-0 hairstyles wouldn’t be in the game, at all. Sorry, but I don’t buy that excuse. I think the devs simply just do not like long hair for some reason.

Yet they have no probem releasing NPC outfits that are 100% unique to them on the mog station. Look at Ystholas. They even already put down the one she is currently wearing. If they dont care about that then hairstyles should be no problem. Because even in real world its easy to copy someones hairstyle and ingame there is no good reason why we cant do that. There is more to an NPC than their hair so they would still be unique enough.

I don't necessarily disagree (and I'm tired of the constant hair complaints tbh) but it's hardly fair to describe this as stupid. Unless there are hair police going around Hydaelyn stopping the hot polloi from copying hairstyles of the rich and famous, there is not really any sensible, believable reason why someone can't have - for example - Minfilia's hairstyle. They'd just need to grow their hair and buy some ribbons

They'd just need to grow their hair and buy some ribbons

I look at it like this- if NPC's can have long hairstyles that look good- so can players. SE threw players a bone with the dancer hairstyle but it's still lacking, especially with the weird part in the middle- if there was a toggle to have bangs or better yet, have the same hair as major NPC's like Gaia or Minfilia or Yugiri, Estinien or Fran

NPCs aren't players though.

As in, our emotes, battle actions, ect. Those are fine tuned for them exclusively and are tweaked for cutscenes. They also add a uniqueness factor that goes beyond their clothing.

Clipping is a major issue, but for the sake of quality in presentation, I believe they don't give us what some NPCs have because they're trying to minimize it as much as possible. The engine doesn't work like other games where hair physics go over collars and can lay flat. Some battle animations might have said hair looking like an MMD video or going through our stomach.
