FFXIV mounts

I like variety, what's wrong with that? Some mobs are a little out there, but some aren't that far. Like drakes or wyverns would be cool... still kind of meh about eyes being mounts since they fly so spazzy lol

You have to think of FFXIV's image though, and consider the mount in context of the whole rather than simply by itself in isolation. And you have to do this so that it doesnt compromise the art-direction of the entire game. I mean, you could say, for example, that Limsa Lominsa should have giant eye mobs and dragons swimming in the water and behemoths running amok and pikachu just there for no reason, and bulbosaur too, well, you know, because that would add "variety". Right? But eventually it just becomes stupid. And that's the issue people have with all these dumb mounts.

Thing is, I never said anything about Pokemon mounts. I was talking about in game mobs, ya know, like I stated in my post? But since you couldn't read that.

And just because you don't like it, doesn't make it stupid or become stupid. Yes 100 mounts would be somewhat unnecessary but adding around 10 different ones, I don't see how that would be stupid. They could stay in the realistic boundaries and lore about mounts, and not make crazy ones. I mean they did have a goobbue in the beginning cutscene of Ul'dah that was soemwhat "tamed".
