They look cool but are they all better than the other weapons

Exactly. And with chocobo breeding, all these mounts will just be lesser mounts compared with chocobos, so it's basically wasted resources.

Every game with multiple mounts has lesser and better mounts. Ones that are easy to get but slower and some faster and more rare. Some are rare just for the visual. All the other mmos proved that these are popular, so S-E decided to follow the trend. It's not because we got chocobo breeding that the other mounts will all suck compared to it.

I chose my mount depending on what it looks like, Chocobos are nice but if rather ride a dragon with my dragoon then ill go for that. Plus i don't see a Chocobo flying, it will just look awkward.

Well guys, don't mean to burst your bubble but S-E confirmed more mounts then chocobos coming, it's not a maybe it's a fact.

The only reason anyone uses their gobbue is to avoid the chocobo theme song anyway.

I like additional mounts, I don't understand why people are so against it. More stuff in general = good. Although I would like them to add traits to the mounts.

Lets say your movement speed is at 100%

With chocobo it would be 200%
With gobbue it would be 80% but you dont get mob aggro. I mean who would aggro a gobbue.
With ahriman it would be 140% but you can fly over rocks and not get stopped by general landscape.
With drake it could also be 140% but you can breath fire and be able to insta kill low level mobs (ie farming mount)

You guys see where I'm going with this?

I can't believe you people. The point of this thread was not to ask if we should or shouldn't have extra mounts, that decision was taken by S-E months ago. It's happening so live with it. What i'm asking is what you would like to see other then chocobos? You know, maybe S-E will pick from one of the popular choices and we won't have to live with another ugly Gobbue mount.

Well that's my fear. I would recommend something good but I don't want SE to then think I am condoning their stupid monster mounts.

They are doing it regardless of what you suggest or scream "just chocobos!" Might as well get something you might slightly enjoy then something completely annoying don't you think? I think that by now we got it that S-E is not changing their mind on features they have already decided on. It would be a waste of time and resources to scrap something they already started work on.
