FFXIV mounts

Here we go, stupid mounts again. Nobody even really wanted/wants mounts. I don't know why S.E. insists on putting them in the game regardless. I wouldn't mind something like this, but that's only because it's a more tasteful alternative to everything else.

Most pple here are XI vets, they want to stick to what they know. Millions of players from other mmos are enjoying their choices of mounts and this is yet another thing that may bring them into XIV. To be honest, the opinions in these forums is very biased and we are already here and paying so it's not us S-E is trying to convince, it's the ones who are not paying for the game yet.

Mounts are not what this game needs to attract the masses. How many silly monster mounts does TERA or GW2 or Blade and Soul have?

People will see the Ahriman mount and Gobbue and think "typical crazy asian MMO, no thanks."

If SE was serious about attracting masses, they probably would have done something about the combat system and the general lack of innovation

Nobody will think that. Most people are familiar with the FF universe.

It is not terrible, it's just that.. a mount, just like the chocobo. I'm glad we have the option to not use it.
