I never understood the multi-character troubles until now. Things need account wide.

Part of the fun of leveling alts is doing the story again, leveling up again, and just generally having a fresh experience again.
The unfun part of alts is being expected to pay over $100 for cosmetics I've already earned or purchased.

I think event achievements should grant access to calamity NPCs account-wide.
All Shop purchases should be account-wide.

I disagree, I cannot stand leveling alts in this game. I still don't understand how apparently so many people think this games story is so great that they actually look forward to doing it multiple times. Not even the story, just the gameplay of ARR - endgame more than once is a pure torture session, IMO. Even the first time a lot of people can't stand it.

It's not at all "expected" to pay for your cosmetics either. However, I do agree that I think more items should be account wide, including certain achievements.

Also, events on 12 characters? Jesus... I can barely get through events once on my main..

So like, achievements would stat character specific, but the Calamity Salvager would draw from the achievement pools of all your characters? That would enable you to reclaim those items on other characters.

Please check your privilege. Some people have to choose between starving and abandoning mog station items. Not everyone finds mog station items "not that expensive".

If you have to choose between starving and mog station items, you should not be playing FF14.

Well to be fair by achievements I meant the event/seasonal ones since they actually seem tied to a good deal of event/seasonal rewards and allowing someone to get whatever item again.

For Mog Station purchases there’s no reason that they cannot be accounted wide. “If you want it again just buy it again” isn’t a reason.

They have account wide purchases and single character purchases. If you want for all your toons buy the accountwide. For those items without accoundwide option, buy it again. If you want it again just buy it again is absolutely a valid reason.

This too. My alt can't even teleport to my main's estate, I have to walk there... it's pretty frustrating.
Even my friend on an unpaid trial account can teleport to my estate, but I can't teleport to my own account.

My Opinion is they should take certain things like the relics for example to be completed account wide or at least allow the replica vendor be available to all characters so long as one character on your accont/server has unlocked the achievement.

I understand the desire to have account-wide "stuff," but I think that should mainly only apply to Online Store/merchandise code purchases or Veteran Rewards or things like that.

The only in-game stuff that I would want to be account wide is character status (new/returning//mentor player) and any gear glamour/mount/minion/barding/orchestrion roll/fashion accessory/(triple triad card?) that can be purchased via the market board or via player trading.

I think most achievements, including quest progression/content unlock, titles, and non-purchasable/tradable gears/glamours, mounts, minions, bardings, orchestrion rolls, fashion accessories, and triple triad cards should remain character-bound.
