Were common people aware Bahamut was a primal?

Its likely been answered before but I've just been wondering why it hasn't be re-summoned like Ifrit, Garuda, Titan? Faith doesn't seem to be the only way considering the eden quest line we can summon them. Bahamut left a big impression and showed up in a large area even attacking a city. Am I missing something?

Because the Original Summoners are either long gone or hiding out in Azys La in a in a lament due to Summoning him.

Doesn't mean other people cant summon it. We aren't the original summoners to the 3 primals but summoned them with Eden. If common people knew Bahamut was a primal they could summon him but be vastly different in temperament like titan from that little kobold baby.

Nobody really seems to worship Bahamut, so nobody's tried to summon him. In theory, it could be done, if someone had enough power at hand to do so; but that requires a massive aether source, like an elder dragon's eyes (see Shinryu), and they're not exactly easy to come by.

Well do the common people know Bahamut was a primal? It would explain why people haven't tried something thinking it was just some super dragon of some kind. You don't need a lot of aether to summon a big primal as their strength is determined by the amount of aether given like with titan if I recall correctly.

Did anyone know Bahamut was a primal until the Binding Coils? I honestly forget.

In any case, it's rarely brought up, but it doesn't seem to be common knowledge. It's never specified one way or the other.

you do need alot of aether, in fact you need as much as what nidhogg had managed to gather in his eyes for 1000s of years. i know this cause shinryu was supposed to be as strong if not stronger than bahamut. Not only that every primal needs more aether than the world can sustain since they keep taking aether after they are summoned.

So size is affected by aether, not just strength? When ng+ does ARR, i'll focus more on the mechanics of primal summonings.

Firstly nobody would probably want to, except maybe a mad cult or something (glances at Lambs of Dalamud)... but if they did, then it would be the same as any primal: reliant on the amount of aether that its summoners can power it with. He could be called up and have all the strength of Lv20 Ifrit.

im pretty sure size isnt something they think about when summoning X)
Its not like you couldnt create a small but immensely powerfull primal, or a huge but really weak summon.

Oh yea we have an example of that. Thordan, isnt he like barely as tall but he used one of nidhogg eyes to power up himself. so ye there you go.
