I just need QTE to have more variety than just spam one button over and over.

You enter into a conversation without even knowing the situation, read the first pages and do not say such nonsenseSee, these are the same people that wanted the FFXV event to be nerfed because they sucked so bad at it, instead of you know... getting good? Like, you're supposed to fail a few times at something before you get it eventually. Expecting to pass everything in one go is literally a child's way of looking at the world. Perhaps some of you are Elidibus in disguise.
Like...just pick two buttons on your controller to mash alternating between them, or two keys with two different fingers.
Legit how are you failing this?
but no, just nerf everything because you failed and you don't like that you didn't win right away and it wasn't easy as pie.
The argument of "It's not interesting" is more compelling, I can reason with that. But anyone who can't do this must be like 60 years old with arthritis or something.
How did y'all play games before that had this kind of thing? Did you just give up and not do it? lol.
Another person who lives wonderfully with a healthy body. You enter into a conversation without even knowing the situation, read the first pages and do not say such nonsense
Stop playing cards - we are so poor, don't treat us like that.Stop playing the card - we're so poor, don't treat us like that.
Most posts on this thread cause negative emotions for this reason. Because they're playing this card.
Do people have problems with this QTE because of their physical problem? You wrote it, we get it. I agree with you completely on the subject that or there should be a button to help you. Or the game shouldn't kill the band because of your failure. We need to told SE about that problem.
However, I will say for my part that this QTE is simple, and there was proof in thread that you don't have to press the button too fast. It's more about "aah, I can't do it and I don't want to listen to anybody" card.
P.S. No, i'm not threating people with healthy problem. Moreover, i have friends with that thing, and I proud for them, because they complete that challenge, or found a way how to make that easy. Problem in that thread, how people complaining about that in 70% messages.
Come on ..
Another misunderstanding of this situation. It's kind of discussing the fact that humans can't physically go through such quick button presses, in a game that SE simplifies year after year, don't you like that the plot point will be with different or simplified mechanics? There is extreme for you, go there.

In this case, you have come to the wrong address. You need to contact the SE. (And again, you have Extremes, savages, Ultimate and now Unreal, go there)I'll be honest.. my biggest push back is because I love the wipe mech. It's nice to have a bit of normal content that has a bite to it. Yes even if that bite is still weak. But it's better then nothing. And with this thread being here I'm getting Steps of faith flash backs and I just hate nerfing content. It's why people complain about dungeons being stupid easy mode as it is. It's why we have hallway dungeons, dumb down classes, and everything else that was nerfed. I don't want the wipe mech to go away, I also don't want the QTE to completely go away with no replacement. It sucks people aren't finishing the trial due to whatever is going on with them. But knowing SE they won't meet in the middle.. they'll just kill everything and make something that's got a tiny bit of bite until a meow and a purr. :c So that's why alot of people are pushing back, it has nothing to do with you but everything to do with how SE handles nerfs.
And what, you love music and can listen to it, for example, endlessly. And let's replace pleasure with a terrible pain in the ears, like this? People are asking for change for a reason, it hurts them to try! I am a healthy person, and the speed there is really too high, I tried slowly, but at a different pace I tried 5 times, the result is 5 wipes, ppl just abbadon, niceNo you misunderstand or maybe I didn't word it better. But the bite I'm talking about is the wipe mech where we all have to pass the QTE. If one of us fails it's a wipe. That's the bite I'm talking about. I don't want that to go away, I like that this was different then the other QTEs. I say SE should change the QTE to a QCF motion or a DDR thing or something. No other changes needed cause if you take the wipe mech away then it's just a normal easy trial with no bite. And It's just nice to see something that's a bit more punishing then the normal tank and sleep.
And I've already been in parties where it took longer then 40 mins to clear because someone couldn't pass it. It doesn't make me mad honestly. I have ALOT of time on my hands. Plus have you heard the music? I could stay in there all day. For context... I can listen to one song for a year striaght nonstop. I've done this before. Repeats have NEVER got on my nerves.
Good point and excellent analytics, but. Firstly - a person may not go as a tank, secondly - even on Aida, the speed of pressing the buttons is acceptable. Thank you, for your causeThe Active Time Maneuvers have been in game since E11 in patch 3.4. They have not stirred up nearly as many complaints as the most recently released version. What changed with the most recent one?
- E11: Cruise Chaser (3.4) - Full Party. Once a player has gotten on CC, they must press a single button before time runs out to jump off boss. Failure kills self.
- E11S: Cruise Chaser (3.4) - Full Party. Once a player has gotten on CC, they must press a single button before time runs out to jump off boss. Failure kills self. Shorter time limit than normal version.
- Susanoo (4.0) - "Tank" only. Tank must mash buttons to prevent bar from emptying to hold up giant sword while rest of party kills it. Failure wipes party. Bar drains at a constant rate.
- Shinryu (4.0) - Full Party. Players must button mash to fill bar and break free to grab onto Shinryu. Failure kills self.
- Susanoo EX (4.0) - "Tank" only. Tank must mash buttons to prevent bar from emptying to hold up giant sword while rest of party kills it. Failure wipes party. Bar drains faster than normal mode.
- Shinryu EX (4.1) - Full Party. Players must button mash to fill bar and break free to grab onto Shinryu. Failure kills self. Bar requires more button presses to fill than normal mode.
- 4.4 MSQ Solo Instance - Press buttons to fill bar to break out of chains. Failure restarts instance.
- Hades (5.0) - Full Party. Players must button mash to fill bar and break free of chains. Failure kills self.
- Resistance Weapon Solo Instance (5.2) - Tank only. Tank must button mash to prevent bar from emptying until attack destroyed by npc dps. Failure restarts fight.
- Memoria Misera (5.2) - Tanks Only. Tanks must button mash to prevent bar from emptying until attack destroyed by dps. Failure increases difficulty for other Tank and if both Tanks fail wipes party. Harder than Solo Instance version.
- ??? (5.3) - Full Party. Players must button mash to prevent bar from emptying. Any player failing wipes party. Bar is deceptive as amount filled by each button press is inverse to how filled the bar is while draining at a very fast and constant rate.
From what I see the complaints stem from them using a modified version of what was previously a tank only version of the ATM for the entire party. The ATM last longer than what most non-tanks are used to while also being more difficult than what tanks are used to.
You don't have to press very fast at all. The time you get for each press increases the lower it gets. You can easily pass the mechanic with a very relaxed pace.
