Regarding the New HQ Turn-in Feature and Housing Situation

I have been camping outside this small house in the NEW wards for almost 4 hours and the game still will not let me buy it. Can like a GM personally remove the timer on this house for me? This is so incredibly dumb and its wasting my time. I just want a Small house for my FC.

The timers need to be turned back on.
Housing needs to be made instanced.
Until that change can & should be made, increase the interior item decoration limit for small & medium houses- small houses are currently at 200 limit & should be increased to 300. Medium is at 300 & should be increased to 400. It would quell some of the demand for such a large plot
Also, a house should be account wide- so players can't purchase more than 1 house per account. If anyone is actually listening to the NA playerbase, just acknowledge them for sake.

A message from Naoki Yoshida regarding the new HQ turn-in feature and housing situation:

1. A checkbox for HQ turn-ins was added for Grand Companies/levequests to make it more apparent for new players, but this has greatly lowered the efficiency of turn-ins. This will be removed in a hot fix at the end of August.

2. While we are very grateful for the increase in players due to the new updates, the housing demolition timer has remained disabled due to COVID-19. We are planning to add more plots soon, but due to the current situation, the installation process has been slowed down. While we cannot proceed with physical installations, we will optimize the server and add as many plots as we can up until Patch 5.4.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. The full details of the announcement is currently being prepared. Thank you for your patience.

At this point, we need a straight and honest answer from SE about if they will overhaul and actually fix the Housing system because the current strategy of adding X # of plots is ineffective. We don't need another apology. We need an answer that is honest and less beating around the bush. Can you pass that to SE and get back with us? Thanks!

Get rid of FC housing. All the people selling houses are using fake FCs to do this. You get rid of FC housing you solve most of the problem. such a simple fix

...why though? FCs act as a sort of apartment system as well, allowing members to have their own room to decorate if they can't get a house.

FC apartments aren't a good idea unless you're absolutely sure that you're in your "forever guild". Over the years and across several MMO's I've been burned enough times to never make that assumption. The character of a guild can change due to attrition, drama, or even a benevolent transition from one GM to another. There's nothing that guarantees that it will remain compatible with your goals and values.

Yup, and it wouldn't be too hard to let us buy a "back door exit" to go to an instanced garden from our apartment either.

Except instances don't have the necessary weather conditions for gardening, or at least intercross gardening, to work in them. You'd be limited to what you can currently do with a flowerpot inside your house/apartment.
