Loft issues (PS4)

Hello! I just crafted the new floor sofa and hoped to put it on a loft. Unfortunately, I missed that this piece of furnishing is not listed as table top I wonder if I somehow can glitch stuff listed as furnishing so I can put them on my loft. The things I can put there atm are pretty limited...

I'm on PS4, but I can plug in a mouse and keyboard if needed

I'm a PC user myself so I don't have any tips to give you but if you still have problems after watching the guide, I would imagine others here can try to help.

SE really needs to allow anything that can go on the floor to go on a loft. It would address so many issues and reduce the amount of glitching necessary for more complex house design. If SE allowed lofts to have any floor item we could use lofts to float things instead of glitching, making interior building much less tedious and time consuming.

Yeah, I really agree... There are so many things I've wanted to do with lofts, but I've been unable to do so just because the stuff I want to use are listed as furnishing instead of tabletop

I finally got my sofa to float! My loft looks just the way I wanted now. Thanks for all the help!

So, unfortunately my sofa fell down from the loft after I had exited my house (I think I forgot the rotate step). I've tried several times again now to get it to stay on the loft, but it doesn't seem to work. Every time after I have rotated the sofa and I exit the housing menu, it falls down again. I tried with a riviera armchair instead and it worked just fine. Do I have to do something different with this particular piece of furniture?

I don't need specific instructions for PS4 controller anymore btw. I kind of gave up and use keyboard and mouse for this
