Just coming here to say that I find nothing wrong with the hunts. While I have had issues where I cannot teleport to a zone right away or a mob disappears while I am shooting spells as a SMN, both issues are quickly rectified either by trying to teleport in a few seconds or just moving closer to the mob. As I am in a party I have yet to not get credit on these hunts. Of course threads like these will come up as hunts are in high demand right now due to upgrades being linked to them, however I think that any attempt to change hunts for the people who are upset now will disrupt hunts for the worse for anyone doing hunts for the rest of the time outside of the few weeks that they are extremely popular on the odd patches.

Also, hunts are extremely efficient and rewarding as they are now. Someone mentioned "are hunts fun?" in the current iteration. I would say that while they aren't as engaging as other types of content, they aren't NOT fun. What ISN'T fun is what hunts used to be, over an hour to do them all, or people killing hunts with a small group of people on their own, rather than saving them all up for a cohesive all-encompassing smash-through. The train takes like 20-30 minutes now, which I find extremely satisfying.
