Old Rowena Token/Tomestome Items

This is not a bug per se, but I do hope it was just an oversight because I can't imagine I'm the only person this negatively impacts.



I had thousands of poetics tied up in weapon purchase/upgrade materials for jobs I had yet to level. The patch notes made mention that the way you would acquire weapons and tomestone gear would be changing, and that these tokens would no longer be obtainable, but it was not clear that it wouldn't be possible to use these after the patch. I'd like to suggest we get an NPC in game that will either accept the old token/tomestone currency or one that will refund the poetics for these items.


On a similar note, there doesn't seem to be tomestone reliant way to upgrade any i120 Ironworks gear you have since Drake (Hyrstmill) still wants carbontwine to upgrade it, but carbontwine can no longer be purchased, and the calamity salvagers only offer upgrades to Shire and Scaeven gear.

i believe you can get the augmented ironworks gear now from the new rowena vendors in the main city states.

You can, but the issue presented is for players that had previously purchased Ironworks and had not upgraded them. Devs put in ways for level 60 and 70 gear of similar nature to be upgraded. But players with Ironworks have to spend significantly more to re-purchase all augmented gear. For parity, this is an oversight that should be remedied.

As for main issue, it would be rather nice to have also offered a refund system for any players still holding onto those upgrade tokens. I had also been one that held onto a few for the new jobs I hadn't gotten to 70 yet.

That is indeed an issue. Another issue is leftover upgrade materials if you don't have the gear that should be upgraded. All those upgrade items suddenly became worthless.

This is my main issue; I only discovered recently that the augmented gear was dyeable, so I have sets for all classes of Ironworks gear that I can't augment because Carbontwine isn't available anymore. Unless they add Ironworks to the Splendor vendors in the citystates, I'm stuck paying full poetic price for 6 sets of Ironworks gear instead of 100 poetics per piece for carbontwine.

Regarding the existing upgrade tokens, you can take them to the normal gear augmenters and still use them, but you have to have purchased the mats prior to 5.3.
