People are allowed to have their opinions, you know. I'm not gonna knock someone else for enjoying something I do not, and vice versa. However, I'm free to say that I don't like something and why because this is a public forum. Like I said in my post above, it is pointless...for me. I won't speak for everyone else because to some this is really awesome and they like the rewards...and that's okay. I'm not a fan, and that's also okay.

Except it isn't whinging but legitimate criticism to a new piece of content. The devs always tell us to offer feedback. Frankly, I'm on board with the OP. The rewards are far too meager and will get harder and harder to come by as more people stop bothering. That being said, I suspect they did this because they don't intend to add anything new for the next Unreal. So if people could get it easily, they'd have to.

There isn't much in the way of 'whinging' and 'entitlement' in this thread, or the forum as a whole when compared to the likes of Reddit and Twitter.

It's a new form of content and I'm pretty sure the development team would be glad to get some constructive feedback from the EU and NA side of the fence. Whether they take note of it is another matter entirely, though their track record thus far has shown that they're willing to tweak things based on feedback when it comes to some parts of the game. They completely reworked Diadem not once but twice, for example - and also made major quality of life adjustments to Bozja based around some of the perceived flaws of Eureka.

Being able to just buy the mount and minion on the MB certainly makes the whole thing feel pointless. I know I'm certainly not going to be spending any leaves on them when I can and will be buying them from the MB for the much more easier to obtain currency of gil. I'll be doing the unreal trials and faux hollows purely for the achievement (50 times....) and no other reason until they add a unique untradable reward to the system.

And honestly, I'm fine with that. I know I'm not the only one who was worried about this whole limited time trial thing, but it turns out there are no achievements or rewards of any kind tied specifically to Shiva Unreal. I like knowing that when Shiva is retired and the next Unreal is added, I won't be stressed about missing out on anything.

Well I’m at least glad to hear you can get the necklace with silver from khloe. So I guess they want the mount to be like this epic very rare thing which is cooooool I guesssss. Knowing now that it will take many many months to get the mount, they probably won’t rotate/add new rewards with new unreal trials?

I guess it’s fun to have something rare to work towards. But when I did see how slowly you get leaves I shared in people’s alarm.

And I don’t really think you should be able to sell things that are that rare. But that’s just my opinion and I get why they do it

I'm glad I found this topic. I for one am highly in favor of this Unreal and Faux Hollows system and applaud the FFXIV dev team for it.
But, yes. I do agree with the OP. In two weeks I've amassed 50 leaves. So like... Just gotta wait about 10 more weeks for the mount and another several for the minion right? I'm not going to be able to keep up with the (presumably) new awards that get added with each new patch and each new trial they swap it out with. Please either nerf the reward costs or buff the amount of leaves you get from Faux Hollows. Everything else is fantastic imo.

Also I think it'd be worth adding a bit more varied rewards for the players who don't care about glamours and mounts and stuff. Things that have tangible value to the game itself.

This is one of the reasons why the devs don’t post in the EN forums. There much more active in the other language forums but not in EN because quite often, what they say here gets twisted and malformed into something they never intended.

The other reason is that it’s very common in the EN forums to have 15+ threads on the same topic with people attacking each other rather than a single thread that stays focused.
