    One or more of your client settings files, which include your hotbar settings, failed to save.

    I have been getting this message since I started playing the game 6 months ago and it seems apparently random and it comes in waves. Sometimes I will get the message 10 times in a single day, other times I'll go weeks without seeing it. Never during any specific in-game action.

    Today, I logged on and all of my hotbars had been reset completely. That was the first time they have actually been deleted. The warning was a rather harmless, if not ominous, warning until today.

    So far, I have:

    Deleted all locally saved files
    Made sure FF has access to all files and has appropriate permissions

    Yet the message persists.

    How long have you been experiencing this issue? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game?

    i have heard theories about one drive locking files at the same time FFXIV is updating files causes this message to appear. since One Drive is accessing them FFXIV can't. I don't know why you had a sudden deletion of everything tho.
