With that out of the way: The constellations on the Ascian soul crystals. Has anyone seen if they're connected to anything, like any of the Eorzean constellations or something else entirely?

Pretty sure they're the constellations of the Zodiac here on Earth. A nice little call back to the fact the Ascians' titles come from Scions of Light in FFXII, which are tied to the Zodiac.

In FFXII, all of the Esper names are the Scion of Darkness titles, while their titles in FFXIV are the Scions of Light variations, both of which are associated with a different constellation. I'll put them in terms of Ascian and its constellation.

Mitron - Taurus
Emet-Selch - Gemini
Pashtarot - Cancer
Fandaniel - Leo
Ultima (has no Scion of Light counterpart that we know of) - Virgo
Halmarut - Libra
Nabriales - Scorpio
Igeyorhm - Sagittarius
Deudalaphon - Capricorn
Emmerololth - Aquarius
Lahabrea - Pisces
Elidibus - Ophiuchus (aka Serpentarius)

I opened an image of our star constellations during that quest just because. Yes, with the exception of a certain last crystal, those were the Zodiac constellations. The last one we picked up before a certain someone came talking to us was definitely Gemini.

Our crystal has the alchemy symbol for the sun. And the sun is the star that "travels" through the Zodiac as the year goes by. A very appropriate symbol for the office of the Convocation member traveling all over the world.

The Earth-reference constellations have always had a quiet hold in a way, since all of Lahabrea's minions are the labeled the "Twelfth" and he was Pisces, and given Pisces's position in XII... And don't forget the atma have already dropped those constellation concepts into the game.

Crimson: Virgo (Altima)
Yellow: Libra (Halmarut)
Green: Sagittarius (Igeyorhm)
Grey: Capricorn (Deudalaphon)
Purple: Taurus (Mitron)
Pale Green: Aries (Loghrif)
Blue: Scorpio (Nabriales)
Turquoise: Aquarius (Emmerololth)
(Bottom Row):
Sky Blue: Pisces (Lahabrea)
Colorless: Ophiuchus (Elidibus) - remember it's upside-down
Pink: Leo (Fandaniel)
Scarlet: Cancer (Pashtarot)
Violet: Gemini (Emet-Selch)
Orange: Sol (Azem)

The axe-bladed side of each is the top, the arrowhead is the bottom.
Several of them aren't connected in "conventional" ways resembling modern interpretations of the constellation shapes -- for instance, the one I marked as Leo is turned counter-clockwise, creates a closed-loop from the hook of the lion's "head" and makes stray lines to the corners of its "body" -- so a few of these might be wrong, but I did my best guesses based on key positions/shapes and process of elimination.
Given there's a grey one, and the orange crystal definitely isn't Taurus or Libra, we can safely say they don't match up with the Atma colors.

Just a quick thought on the shape of stone. They are upside down anchors possibly. The "arrowhead" from the above post could also just be an arrow too, as in the stone will guide your direction.

I'm sure this isn't the end of our stone's significance.
