    New thought. If you want failing the QTE to be punishing theres a way to do that without wiping the raid. So everything stays the same. QTE starts. Lets say 1 person fails. So 7 players are standing there when Emet snaps his fingers, ready to continue fighting. The 8th? Their body doesnt come back from the void right away(because Elidibus was still focusing on it or other reasons), and they cant be ressed to rejoin the group for a period of time(30 secs or a min?). Eventually they wind up back on the battlefield, and then the party can res or ignore them as they see fit.

    Congratulations on not having joint or hand issues that make mashing at that speed painful. It's not interesting gameplay, it's not engaging, it's just an unnecessary "you must be this able-bodied to play our game" check. I would have failed this check last summer when I had a broken wrist and could only use one hand, and I don't have any underlying issues.

    Something to note about QTEs that I've not seen mentioned - the bar is a lie. It's heavily weighted so any action taken when the bar is almost depleted is worth FAR more than it is when the bar is almost full. You can effectively lazily click or press a button every few seconds and the bar won't empty, so it's not particularly keeping anyone with disabilities out. If you're capable of pressing buttons enough to make it to 80, you're already above the speed necessary to clear the QTE, it just makes the bar drain faster early on so it seems more tense than it is.

    I think it's a little shortsighted to put out content where one person failing makes everyone fail, especially when it's accessed through the DF and can cause issues for players with hand health issues. If the mechanic must be kept in, it would be advisable to adjust it so that one person failing does not wipe the group.

    The rest of it can stay. The group I went with on patch day did the QTE and failed first time because of the tank LB3 thing. Managed it the second time; healers got people up when the fell down, the usual. There was even a video guide up the first day which I used because I'm not always so great at picking stuff up on the fly, and if someone can put out a guide that quickly and concisely, then I suspect the trial's general difficulty is just right. Tweak the one-person fail issue and it should be quite okay, then just abandon the button mashing thing in future.

    The active time event was the worst part. I think my initial group failed 4x as someone wasn't breaking the chains. You literally just reappear in the starting circle if someone fails and redo the fight.

    My arm was wrecked after so much button mashing...

    I think the fight is just fine, it's a mix of Thordan and Shinryu XD

    About the QTE, as I said in the other thread: An option to toggle "Press Button" to "Hold Button" would make QTE a lot more accessible to disabled players.
