Game crashes right at start

Good evening!

Since my hijack in the other thread (https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...36#post5400336) got no reply up to now, i rather start a new thread for my problem.

Since the patch today i can't start the game anymore. I get into the launcher, type in my data and hit "Play". Then the screen goes black like it always did and the game just closes. Sometimes i see the FF14 Shadowbringers logo and sometimes i don't.

And before the obligatory question is coming up: the only change made since Sunday (when i last was ingame) was the patching of the game today.

PS: I even have a backup copy of the game in a different location on my HDD for the reason if something happens to my main one i still have a backup..but even the backup has the same issues.

To prevent repeating previously attempted troubleshooting, what have you tried to alleviate the problem? Does this crash happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

I just did a normal patching of my main game like everytime when there's a version update. Patched my backup game afterwards too, before i tried to start my main version and ran into the problems.

After reading around i updated my windows version and afterwards my graphics driver too.
Also tried running the game without any other programs in the background with no effect.
I know about the problems and crashes with DirectX11, because i have them from time to time myself, but they atleast give you a error message.

This problem...there's nothing, the game just closes while starting without any error or any warning or anything.

I used to have this issue and i have nvidia frame limiter on. after disabling that my issue was resolved

Does the game crash if it is reinstalled on the C drive? Additionally, does the game crash if any overlays are disabled?
