I don't know about the rest of you people but whenever I get Garuda EX in a mentor roulette (generally it appears more than the others, possibly because it's the first one to become available and therefore it probably gets more newbie attention), the tanks always manage to colossally screw up the add phase, no matter how much the party tries to instruct them. It certainly ain't no Ramuh EX (where if your tanks don't know the fight and aren't in sync with each other, you might as well go home, because you aren't winning), but it tries to be.

There's been some groups where we only managed to beat it by not giving the tanks a chance to screw up the add phase, and simply having all the DPS go ham on one of the adds and kill it before they gain their "defense+ based on proximity to the other add" buff. That can work when the DPS are i130 and overpower the fight. I don't see it working as well in Unreal.
