    Unable to Update/Download

    Getting the following message anytime I log onto the launcher:

    Unable to complete version update.
    [30435][30415][3][19900][3][19901][2]
    "Message directing me to the ffixvupdater.exe file"

    Yes I've tried multiple VPNs and pretty much everything else I could find on Google. I moved towards uninstalling and the reinstalling but now I cannot even install the game.

    This only started happening after 5.3 went live.

    I'm having the same issue. My FFXIV is a Steam installation. I tried uninstalling/installing, deleting files in the my games folders, manually clicking on ffxivupdater.exe within the my games folder, and so on to no avail.

    Whatever I do, I keep on getting a "FFIXV Launcher Error". The message I get is this:

    Unable to complete version update.
    [30435][30415][5][19900][5]

    I had no such issue until now, so this is definitely related to Patch 5.3.

    Possible solution to update/download error

    My fellow FC member pointed me to various threads on Reddit regarding this issue and one of them seems to have worked for me - I can finally see the patch files being downloaded via the launcher.

    1. Go to "Windows Security"
    2. Go to "Virus & Threat Protection"
    3. Go to "Ransomware Protection" and choose "Manage ransomware protection".
    4. Click on "Allow an app through controlled folder access"
    5. Click on "Add an allowed app" then choose the ffxivupdater file which you can find in the FFXIV folder within the 'My Games' folder in 'Documents'.

    You can check 'block history' and if other known legitimate FFXIV apps are being blocked, adding them as allowed app might help to resolve similiar issue.

    I already postet in another Post for this topic. I tried your suggestion but sadly , this also did not help.Thank you still for sharing more fixes.

    *Update*
    with a disabled real time protectionm in Windows 7 Mode it is finally loading.

    For me it was my router from Netgear. Once I disabled the Armor protection it updated right away. Was trying the free trial. Hope this helps somebody.
