Constant crashing the last few weeks

Hi! The past few weeks my game has experienced numerous crashes, i've tried everything, clean boot, *five* clean reinstalls, underclocking my memory, compatibility mode, fullscreen optimization off, *everything* short of reinstalling my entire OS. Considering the length of this thread and the constant posts about it on the reddit despite people not having issues with any other game I have no idea what else to do. I love this game but I might have to unsub at this rate

Does this crash happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Where in game does the crash occur? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Does the game crash if it is installed on the C drive? Additionally, were any updates or changes made to the PC?

I installed new ram a few months ago, but the game worked fine for a long time after, also yes it still crashed on C i believe! but I could try to reinstall on C if you think that would help?

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

1) Make sure that your hardware is not overheating and remove any overclocks you may have on your graphics card or processor. Please check that any fans or vents are clear of blocks.
2) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs
3) Remove any mods or injectors from the game or system
4) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
5) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)
6) Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card
7) Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything
8) Install Windows, Steam, and FINAL FANTASY XIV onto the same drive (C:/ Drive is preferable)

I moved my game to my C drive and in my graphics card settings capped the fps at 60 and so far it seems to have stopped crashing? Thank you!
