UI suggestion: Worldwide shout channel

SE, can you consider implementing a new worldwide shout channel so that I can be anywhere in Eorzea but still able to know what type of parties are being formed. To prevent from spamming this channel, restrict the people who are able to send messages in this channel to those who have formed a party and waiting to recruit members.

With this feature, I don't have to camp in Uldah all day to wait to join a CC party. I can craft in Limsa but still be able to join raids if and when a suitable one come along.

Make this a separate channel from /shout so for those who don't like to see such worldwide receuitment messages they can shut it off

Agreed, neat idea about only part leaders being able to use it to lessen spam.

I would just be happy with area wide chat, Shout has an extremely low area range.

Nope. It would be good to have a channel for communicating in a certain area, but not global. That's just not going to work.

I've suggested in the past that players near Aetheryte be able to link into a shared channel with others near crystals/nodes. It's a great idea, really.

i don't mind if they add it as long as there is a filter so i can turn the stupid thing off. i already have shouts filtered in ud as it is and i'd hate to see how bad the global one is.

Or how about make multiple, global, filterable, invite channels, to go alongside the Party Search feature, e.g.:
- Experience Channel
- Dungeon Channel
- Events Channel
- Trade Channel
etc.

Hm i kinda liked WoW's chat channels, like recruit, city, trade channels.
(Im sure other mmo's have the same type of setup for chat, just using WoW as an example for the moment.)

No need to flood one channel with world shouts about everything.

well i like the idea of crystal chanel with a penality..... you can only /wsh "/wideshout" (tentative) in a recast timer 5mins RL to no one be able to span on it and you can /wsh off-on "/wideshout on-off" (tentative) to turn wise shout off when you dont want too also in menu by defaul off as option selected soo only when you grow on game to join few activites can then turn it on also a lv limit can be implemented like need to have a class (any) lv20+ to be ale to use on first time also this will help filter from used as rmt resurse also can be a key item give by your campain where all members on same campain will have like a commun LS to made campaing events such as chocobo scorts or incoming big campaing events

carlosx, i would suggest that you use 1)punctuations in your posts and
2) break down your posts into paragraphs

so that its easier to read.
