Regarding Azem, Azim, and Azeyma:
This is from 2016.The original Meracydian tribe which worshipped Sephirot believed him to be a massive tree. As all plants require light to grow and thrive, it was only natural for the tribe to believe that their god also came into his power by bathing in the brilliance of the sun. The tribe recognized the importance of the sun, and thusly adorned their Sephirotic temples with their people's symbol for it. This lead the Allagan scholars to conclude that the Meracydian symbol for the sun, and the Allagan symbol for Azeyma (goddess of the sun) must have both have the same origins, and that somewhere, countless years in the past, that symbol made its way to several different regions across the globe, the evolution of its meaning differing slightly depending on the location.
Some minor observations about trust changes:
G'raha as PLD does not appear to use Hallowed Ground, although he will Clemency you or himself quite liberally. His voice lines and various battle grunts are entirely new as well! I've already managed to kill him twice. He says 'Ah...not here...' when he dies and 'Ugh...I'm in your debt' when rezzed. He will also steal the LB1 from you but not the LB2.
When pitted against Alisaie, Alisaie continues to steal the LB at her usual pace...or possibly a bit faster...they had to add special coding for the third boss in Dohn Mheg so we have that added bonus characterization XD Unlike Alisaie, who stands at the spot she's shoved for a sec before turning on sprint, G'raha runs to the edge and then sprints across, enabling him to beat her handily. Also, apparently the tentacled illusion in the middle of the fight comes with a nasty stench because he reels.
If you take G'raha Tia and not Crystal Exarch into Holminster Switch or Grand Cosmos, he does not have the MSQ lines at all.
His default lines now are:
'Just the beginning!' (all jobs)
'Allow me!' (when DPS)
'Something special for you!' (LB)
'Stubborn!' ('just DIE already!' vibes, when DPS)
'Are you all right?' (if you've run off and got hit, while tank)
'There!' (when using gap closer, while tank)
Was just thinking on this and it reminded me of the Salmon Filet letter opener incident he had while having dinner with Lyna in patch 5.2... he didn't mean to pick up the filet and try to open the letter with said fish but was too tired to realize he was doing it.I guess it's not so much about him requiring food and sleep as whether he's still physically able to do so - especially since the visible crystallisation suggests he could be more crystal than flesh under his robes. I'd assumed that the fact he didn't meant he couldn't, but now it's making more sense that he can and probably functions better when he does.
Scenario A: Draws all energy from the tower; doesn't get tired or hungry any more
Scenario B: Gets just enough energy to not collapse from exhaustion; still needs food/sleep to get above this threshold functioning level
Scenario C: Can draw energy at will to make up for the fact that he hasn't slept in days but really can't afford to right now.
I'd assumed A but now realising it's probably B/C.

I'm still kind of annoyed that they made a weird out-of-place joke about the Exarch using a salmon fillet to try to open a letter, instead of using the actual in-game fish Crystal Knife as a reference, since it's literally in the fish's description. And makes the whole "fish letter" incident less weird, since the Crystal Knife actually looks like, well, a crystal knife.
Maybe the Crystal Knife is a type of salmon? I don't know, just spitballing here.I'm still kind of annoyed that they made a weird out-of-place joke about the Exarch using a salmon fillet to try to open a letter, instead of using the actual in-game fish Crystal Knife as a reference, since it's literally in the fish's description. Or you know he had one but was too tired and preoccupied and mistook the filet for the knife

Some random thoughts I suddenly had in the wake of the 5.3 MSQ.
In light of the revelation that the unsundered Ascians were using crystals to bequeath memories onto the replacement Convocation members, it makes me wonder if perhaps Emet-Selch tried to pass someone else's memories onto Zenos on a whim after seeing that he had inherited the soul of someone dear to him; particularly because of Fandaniel's little remark upon first hearing the mention of the dreams and the fact that he made a crystal for Azem despite them not even being a part of the Convocation at that point.
It was mentioned in his short story that the ability to perceive the "color" of souls was very rare, yet Zenos has this judging from his reaction to meeting Fandaniel for the first time. His reaction is also strange considering that he really doesn't care about anyone other then us, which makes me wonder if maybe it was actually his soul's memories that were prodding him there.
Lastly, considering that the only other one who was specifically mentioned/seen to have this trait was Hythlodaeus, it would be rather ironic if the reincarnations of Emet-Selch's two closest friends ended up fighting over the fate of the world and also would make his tendency to refer to us as "his friend" appropriate in a different context.
I think the potential reactions from people on the steppe would be the funniest if we could definitively prove it to them.
The fact that they bothered updating both Temulun and Cirina's dialogue post ShB MSQ does kind of make me wonder if they intend to have us return there yet again for one reason or another, though.
