Green Light in Praetorium?

Now that I've had to run Prae a billion times over the last few days, I couldn't help but notice that green light ball in the Ultima cutscenes again. Have we ever managed to figure out what that is? Seems important.

As for whether its a glitch, I mean, possibly? It does seem to have its speed change depending on the how quickly the cam is rotating, but I don't know if that means anything. If its a glitch, its been in the game since launch.

Oh it's Frank the green glitch orb, a good friend of the Phantom Sword of Thordan.

So yeh, just a bug that's been around for a very long time.

Do we have some kind of official confirmation of that? I've seen people claim its a glitch, but there's nothing else anywhere in the scene like it. Not the same color. It doesn't move in relation to Lahabrea's teleport cloud, which is the only thing it remotely resembles.

I've noticed it, but I've never really thought about it. Some vague clue that Hydaelyn is watching? Irradiated butterfly? Random shiny to see who's still awake?

I always thought it was Hydaelyn scurrying to a safe distance after using so much of her power to shield us.

On reddit the other day, someone explained it's a visual glitch caused by the camera and all. It's the glow effect that is supposed to be displayed on Ultima's chest, inside the Heart of Sabik. Apparently, it hasn't always been this way, but started after some patch.

That would explain it. It's very noticeable and I spot it every time I watch the scene - infrequently enough that I've forgotten about seeing it last time - but I hadn't noticed it in the past despite it being very conspicuous. So it makes sense that it wasn't originally there!
