Can we get a delete character appearance option?

There is a place for character data on the PS4. Let me check that and see if I can figure out where it was.

Edit: It is under Storage > Saved Data > FF XIV. If I were a betting man, I'd say it's the System Data file, but I'm not about to delete it and see for myself. I do know that rids my PS4 version of its macros and hotbars at the very least because I've had that become corrupt before.

Possibly, but it's the most likely candidate for what they are after. Deleting that file is akin to throwing a nuke at one's character everything.
