Can we get a delete character appearance option?

Quite a few players have managed to occupy all 40 character slots. This doesn't necessarily mean that each character appearance will be used. Could they just give an option to delete character data on both PC and console? I'm surprised they never gave us an option to delete character data we no longer need. Sometimes you don't want to just override and only want to clean up

Quick look and I see in my Win10 User folder:

• C:\Users\<WINDOWS_USER_ACCOUNT_NAME>\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

FFXIV_CHARA_01.dat
And 14 more of these, using the sequential number after the "CHARA_" part of the file name.
I happen to have 15 saved Character Appearance on my computer, so I would say these are it.

There is a place for character data on the PS4. Let me check that and see if I can figure out where it was.

Edit: It is under Storage > Saved Data > FF XIV. If I were a betting man, I'd say it's the System Data file, but I'm not about to delete it and see for myself. I do know that rids my PS4 version of its macros and hotbars at the very least because I've had that become corrupt before.

Possibly, but it's the most likely candidate for what they are after. Deleting that file is akin to throwing a nuke at one's character everything.

FFXIV_CHR00... folders -> your character config (in-game things). You can try to figure out which from the logs, but it's messy and not fun. But you can also totally copy files/back them up manually to sync your config as wanted.
FFXIV_CHARA_0X.dat -> your saved appearance. They are always in order. If you only saved a character appearance to slot 42, you'd have FFXIV_CHARA_42.dat.
