    Two small QoL requests

With a new patch looming on the horizon (super hyped for it after a 6 month wait! \o/ ), I can't help but notice two small things as I was getting things ready for the patch and changing up some aesthetics.
First, I have a medium house and I had used the carbuncle walls for a while. I decided to change my house back to a standard house design for my area (Mist). I almost went to put the carbuncle house in a retainer and thought..."Oh yeah, we have outdoor storage, I could put my housing walls in there and save retainer space!"
Unfortunately, this wasn't an option and I was forced to chuck it in a retainer. I would love to see us be able to use the outdoor space for different aesthetic looks and walls like the moogle or carbuncle house looks among others. Or even better, could we use something like a glamour plate system for how our house looks from the outside? Idk, just tossing ideas out there on that one.
My second concern is quite pressing and has me really worried. I have been using my garden for cross breeding plants and getting seeds in hopes of making money on the MB. These plants are quite delicate and I can have them die quite easily on me (I've had two krakka root plants die on me because I couldn't water them fast enough). I'm really concerned my plants will die during the 24 hour maintenance coming up. I would love it if plants could continue to grow during a maintenance time frame, but wouldn't be allowed to die due to lack of watering. If I could get in during a 24 hour maintenance time frame and water them I would. I just hate to be punished for not watering the plants when I'm physically unable to do so.
Anyway, I just wanted to put these two small ideas down so I could say my peace. Thank you SE for making an amazing game that I've loved for 5 years and counting. Thank you for all the work you do!

If you're concerned about your plants you can put your garden in your storage and they should be fine

IIRC they said not to plant because you will lose them.

This. Placing your garden plots in your outdoor storage is like suspended animation. They don't continue growing but they also don't need to be tended. You could leave them in outdoor storage for a couple of weeks and pull them back out to be at the same growth stage they were when you put them in. It's handy for long maintenance and also if you need to go away for a weekend but don't have someone who will water for you.

QoL things that would help more people:
    • A Repair-all button for repair vendors.
    • An Extract-all-materia button.
    • The ability to click through recipe components to change to synthesis of the component you're short of when you're crafting. It would be nice if you could return back up the chain, but that'd be gravy.
    • Get rid of the "no letters for you/you have mail" dialog click that pops every time you go to the postbox.
    • Have it remember that you've skipped the cutscene when you come to the same cutscene repeatedly (airship board/disembark cutscene, I'm looking at you; dungeon cutscenes I'm more ambivalent about): make ESC be a toggle so if you want to see a cut scene you've previously skipped, you hit ESC again, and get a "Are you sure you want to turn this cutscene back on?" dialog.

    Yes.

This already exists, but not in an easy one-click format. You have to rightclick (on keyboard and mouse) the item you are short of and select 'view recipe'. Note, this isn't just for components of recipes, but all craftable items.

This already exists as a toggle-able option in... 'Character Settings' if I remember correctly? Either that or 'System Settings'. Though instead of a case-by-case basis, it is more universal for all 'previously seen' cutscenes... except story cutscenes when replaying through NG+.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll give them a try and see if they're anywhere near what I'm looking for. If they're not, the fault is entirely mine for not specifying what it is I want better

Any thoughts on the "Extract all Materia" button and the "moogle click-past" on the delivery moogle?

To expand on the repair point, I would say make the mender npc's accessable in New Game +. I shouldn't have to exit out of new game + just so I can get my gear repaired at a vendor.

Regarding the two dungeons with unskippable cutscenes (aka Castrum Meridianum and The Praetorium), if everyone in the party has already cleared the dungeon the group should get an option to skip the cutscenes. That way parties that have already cleared it don't have to spend 40 minutes to an hour just getting through one dungeon because of not being able to skip cutscenes. If not everyone has cleared it then just roll the cutscenes like normal. It would be a nice thing to see at least.

If they did that... people would just abandon the duty the second they see there's a new player and you can't skip the cutscenes. Maybe not everyone would, but enough would that the run would just disintegrate there.
Despite there being a roulette solely for those two dungeons, new players would have a hell of a time trying to finish ARR, defeating the purpose of the roulette.
