ZQSD to move around. (AZERTY layout)

    Hotbar 1 is 1234AERFWXCV
Hotbar 2 is the same as hotbar 1 but with shift held down
Idem hotbar 3 but ctrl instead

I use my right mouse button to move my camera and direction of movement.

When I'm lazy, I press T to let my character auto-move.

Sometimes I press both mouse buttons to move, though that's completely arbitrary and never in-combat.

Very interesting! Why do you use those keys for the hotbar 1? Why not continue with 56780?

AERFWXCV are all around the ZQSD keys, meaning I can keep strafing(moving) while pressing the buttons. If I went with 567 etc. I'd have to take my hand off the movement and waste time. This way I essentially never have to stand still, or at the very least, can instantly react and move without needing to put my hand back in place.

Essentially, all my gameplay happens in a square-shaped pattern on my keyboard. I also use TAB and SHIFT+TAB to target enemies, for example.

I'm interested to try this! The reason I use the numpad for my abilities is mostly because my hands are small so it's hard to have my left hand using WASD and also stretching all the way to 0 to cast a hotbar ability. Using Shift + the main numbers is also a nightmare for the same reason.

When you use ZQSD to move, which button is which direction?

My ZQSD is in the same position as your WASD. So that means Z is forward, Q is to the left, D is to the right and S is backwards. You just need to swap out the Z key with the W key and the Q key with the A key in your set-up to accomplish the same thing I have, as those are the exact swapped positions on a QWERTY keyboard (which you have)

EDIT: Here's a picture. The purple is how I set my fingers while the red is essentially my play area.

Truthfully I could probably shove the bottom row one to the right and essentially replace V for <> but I've gotten used to V so whatever.

Interesting! I'd love to learn your keybinds and give your setup a try.
