PC players, what do YOU use to move your character and camera?

WASD for moving character, though I've been looking everywhere for a keyboard with a controller stick where WASD would be but can't find any. Character movement is more fluid with a controller stick in this game.
Gaming mmo mouse for moving camera. Looking to get a Corsair scimitar in the future.

I split actions between number pad and the left side numbers and letters, move with WASD, camera mostly with arrows while in combat. Outside of combat I use a mixture mouse and WASD for moving/steering/camera. I mostly have damage GCD actions on the number pad, or at least the more used or single target. The number pad is close to the mouse, so as a healer it's still easy and fast to switch to mouse and back to select someone while the GCD is going. Also I use legacy controls.

my setup is similar to yours except I use the numbers on top of my keyboard rather than the numberpad, I don't see why yours would be unpopular.

I use WASD to move (with legacy controls, of course) and 1-5 above them for my most important skills on each job (mainly the Standard Combo or healing skills on healers). Everything else, like OGCD skills, defensive cooldowns, etc. are all clicked with my mouse. And moving the camera, of course.

Makes it real easy to play jobs like MCH 'cause I can do my regular GCD combo with my left hand and quickly hit all my OGCD skills with my right. It's pretty equal responsibility between both hands, but I think that's mostly a result of my being ambidextrous.

Assuming you aren't in a learning phase where you struggle to keep the GCD flowing, either is pretty equal in terms of usefulness.
There really isn't a "superior" control scheme. I much prefer my MMO mouse too, but it's little different from a gamepad, just mapped out differently.

A mixture of 3. I use a Playstation controller as well as a mouse/keyboard. I use my mouse (right hand) for camera movement. I use my keyboard (left hand) for player movement and abilities. I use my controller for menu navigation, as well as most right-click menus.

I'm left handed, so I use the mouse with the left hand (with inverted keys) and control camera and movement with it (one key down camera, two keys down movement). I use that in battle too, as I found that when I have to move out of an AOE circle, it's much faster to turn and run rather than backpedal which is always super slow. Also, I make sure that the camera never auto-locks on the targeted enemy, as that doesn't allow me to turn and run away from the AOE. It's not perfect but it suits me the best out other control methods.

For other controls, I use the numeric keyboard. I moved the WASD keys to numeric keypad 5-1-2-3 but they are there for emergency situations as i rarely use them. The ability keys are mapped to the rest of the numeric keypad keys except Enter, and the arrow keys and the Ins-Home-PgUp and Del-End-PgDn keys. I also use the keys backspace and = for abilities on cooldowns.

Right hand is movement, with strafe bound to the mousewheel's "scroll left/right", mouserun for most movement (if I want to look around while moving, it's generally safe enough to put autorun on and use the mouselook). The G700 mouse has thumb buttons available for back and forward, autorun and sprint. The other extra buttons are for out of combat actions I find I use frequently.

Left hand is actions bound to the keyboard.
