When was the last time you had a level 50 job wearing an Onion Helm? Why would you want to pay a crafter to repair it for you simply to be able to store it until you level another class and want it again?

You don't even need to pay a crafter to repair it. It's a level 1 repair, so you can just buy a weathered tool and repair it.
