show total potency of DoTs

A lot of players (usually new) are oblivious to the fact that dots are the strongest gcds available, and end up neglecting important skills like higanbana or thunder. when i first started playing i myself didnt quite get why bio was worth using when ruin was 150 potency and bio "only 20".

thus i suggest that an action's total potency is listed in its description if it includes a damage over time effect. for example:
Bio
Deals unaspected damage over time.
Potency: 20
Duration: 30s
Total potency: 200

Higanbana
Delivers an attack with a potency of 250.
Additional Effect: Damage over time
Potency: 40
Duration: 60s
Total potency: 1050
Additional Effect: Grants a stack of Meditation, up to a maximum of 3


i know dots arent as cut and dry as that because of clipping and server ticks, but things like that only concern higher levels of optimization that arent as relevant to new players reading skill tooltips. However if someone is concerned they might end up spamming the dot instead, perhaps "total potency after X seconds" could work, though its a bit too wordy in my opinion.

It's weird, yeah. The tried and true method for games with DoTs has been to display "X damage over Y" time. Not sure why FFXIV has chosen to be so archaic.

I think this is a very good suggestion.
It would definitely also help new healers to better assess regen effects. Often they don't understand things like how Regen is stronger than Cure, or spam Medica II.
They could also add this for shields like Adloquium instead of only showing the percentage of it.
