




At the end of the day, I don't really see the big deal over this Coincounter change. Do I feel that it was needed 7 years later? Not really. I feel the same about flying in ARR though. However, I'm not triggered by their additions either. Seriously, it's not that bad. People need to get over themselves and look at all the good things or things that actually matter with this patch instead of focusing on just one, insignificant change.

At first I was bothered that after 6 years they added these ! and !! symbols for Fisher when a fish bites. I didn't need them in the last years so why should I need them now? They were just an annoyance. But then I asked myself: Would they also annoy me when these symbols were already there from the beginning? Probably not.
I was basically mad just for the sake of being mad.

It's basically for when you need to figure out how to reel your line in (precice or powerful)
Don't confuse shit difficulty with designs that demand you learn. There's nothing good about a dungeon causing issues for the party for the sake of a "challenge", it just means the dungeon is bad and needs a rework beyond nerfing a boss only the worst players who refuse to do better have a problem with.Nothing wrong with AV being difficult. Honestly, the first room, the Malboros and the final boss have caused way more issues than Coincounter in my experience as well. Hell, they could buff literally everything else about AV and I'd have fun with it.
Don't confuse difficulty with shit design. Coincounter is changing because his mechanic is a garbage 1 hit kill with no telegraphs, not because he was some kind of impassable wall.




I mean, I'm still gonna hate Aurum Vale just because the place is so damn ugly, so it's a lateral move to me. Seriously, why did ARR need so many gray caves, and who thought that filling one of them with yellow gas and morbols was an improvement?
Though I actually like morbols, I agree on the design of the place. The middle area's okay if a bit bland, but the start and end make my eyes bleed. I actually rarely have issues finishing AV when it comes up in roulette but I just hate looking at the place.
